Just got back from another superb stay. Many hotels style themselves "Family run" but this one really is. Most family members are actively involved & combine to put guests at ease. You can be assured of a warm welcome and if returning guests, treated as old friends. The hotel is spotless, well furnished & very comfortable, the food well cooked...

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Beacon - beautifully clean and very comfortable room (the sea view was lovely when the fog eventually cleared & we got to see it!!). It turned out that we had mutual friends with the family - small world! Great breakfast selection & small (but perfectly formed) choice for evening meal -...

We have just returned after a fabulous New Year's Eve in this family run hotel. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming offering us tea and Christmas cake on arrival. Our room was tastefully decorated and very clean. We had a super evening with good food, excellent service and some beautiful singing as the entertainment. The hotel is in a good...

Lovely proprietors really helped us out when we needed accommodations on short notice. Great location, roomy dining room with views and a good kitchen (but don't ask for a Manhattan). (Actual trip was June 2014; ignore date below.)

On arrival, we were made to feel really welcome at this family run hotel. Gorgeous setting with 180 degree views of both country and sea, which you can enjoy from the dining and lounge area. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty and the evening menu changes with what they can buy locally and in season. The food is very good...

A lovely place, friendliest hotel ever. Everyone is on first name terms (beats me how John remembers them all!) and if you were travelling alone you would feel very safe and comfortable here. The rooms are beautifully clean and nicely decorated. Excellent breakfasts, and the views are beautiful.

The hotel is ideally placed to tour Cornwall, the setting is beautiful, The rooms are spotlessly clean and well tendered by the two ladies we saw ( sorry didn't catch their names), the food superbly cooked by 'steve' the...

A lovely hotel. The hotel is in a great location. There is ample parking. The food was excellent. the rooms and public areas were spotlessly clean and to top it all very friendly owners. It felt as if nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommended.
