My fiancé booked us a nights stay on Valentine's night and booked us in for dinner. We were checked in and went up to our room where we were welcomed with wallpaper coming of the walls, a damp smell, mould in the bathroom, and the last guests used soap. By this time we were upset and just wanted to go...

Actually stayed here in August 2012 and only just started using trip advisor! We stayed in the Avallon Suite on our wedding night and we loved every minute! As soon as we walked into the hotel we were greeted by the owner and invited into the bar for a complementary drink. We sat at two big armchairs facing the window...

I had initially booked this hotel for 4 nights, but this had to be cut short, after a cough and cold developed in the first 24 hours, resulting in me being hospitalised in Truro for the rest of the week with pneumonia. With that in mind, my review is somewhat limited. Upon arrival, I found the hotel to be very...

We were upgraded to a sea view room as the hotel was quiet. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate here twice and the food was good and no more expensive than other places for similar quality. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and very tasty. Good location on a quiet residential road, with access to the coastal path.

Had a meal at this hotel and was very impressed what's little gem of a place. If you want a quiet charming evening out go here. We went for a drink and ended up having an excellent and succulent rib eye steak served by attentive staff cooked by an excellent cook. The hotel is charming and the bar gives off...

I have stayed here before, mainly for the superb coastal view and proximity to my parents' house, and not because of the hotel's inherent qualities. So it was this Christmas too, except this time I was with my boyfriend so we booked the suite. 'Suite' to me means either apartment-sized or apartment-configurated: the Porth Avellen suite is just a normal...
