We stayed at the Huron Sands on a motorcycle trip through the island. While we don't have particularly high standards on a trip like that, the Huron Sands over delivered! The staff were really friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the proximity to the lake can't be beat. It was a great experience and I'd absolutely stay there again when on the island.

My family and I stayed at the Huronsands Motel during the off-season in Manitoulin. I’m always a little trepidatious staying in a motel, but my worries quickly faded as soon as we opened the door to the room. The rooms are VERY clean with all the amenities that we needed. Now, during the off-season it can be difficult finding a meal on the island, and we were so fortunate to have the ability to order from the restaurant at Huronsands. During this time of year the menu is limited, but I can honestly say we enjoyed the BEST cabbage rolls and Plov I’ve ever had. On top of all of this, we were able to bring our dog with us because what would be a family trip without him!? All in all we would recommend the Huronsands to anyone, and we plan to visit again. Thank you for the amazing stay and incredible hospitality!

Rating is for the restaurant. No idea what the motel is like but the food at this Mediterranean style take-out is excellent. Delicious pizza. The Lamb Plov was perfectly done, tasty, not greasy at all (sometimes difficult to do with lamb) and more than ample sized serving. Lots of variety. Very good service.
