Detailed Reviews
Very nice little campground, where every site is backed onto the Rideau canal. Power and water hookups with a dump station on the way out, walking distance to downtown quaint shopping, with lots of choices for eating out. We caught Perch, Pike, Rock & Small Mouth Bass from the shore right behind our RV trailer. Lot's of Historic sites to see as well, with trails for biking and hiking. We have already booked for next year, as this is a small and very friendly park. The managers are very helpful and super friendly. Free Wifi was sketchy but usable for light tasks. Toilets/Showers were locked to the public and were very clean, with no extra charges for showers.

A nice friendly place to stay for a few days, right along the Rideau Canal at the Merrickville locks.
Lots of boat traffic within feet of the camp sites so you can wave to passersby, always appreciated! Free firewood for the provided campfire wheel rims is a nice touch. It's a split of 50amp, 30amp (with water) and also "naked" sites perfect for tenting. No sewer connection but there is a free dump station as you exit.
Some sites are a bit narrow but because we were in a 40' motorhome everything seems narrow when you're maneuvering into your spot. Super friendly on-site campground managers Tammy and Nick keep everything under control everyone gets along well.
The bonus of being downtown Merrickville is that you can easily walk to food store, specizlty shops, restaurants (lots) and LCBO if needed.

We went to the campground as our first short trip from Ottawa. We highly recommend the campground, the sites all back onto water, the managers were amazing, they were helpful and super friendly. The campground area is amazing, neat and clean, the bathrooms were spotless and are obviously very well maintained everyday. The village is Merrickville appears to be very tourist oriented, a lot of maps highlighting village history and services. Everyone in the stores and restaurants that we visited were super friendly, explained their village etc. We are only about an hour away, but will go back this summer to visit again.

Went there a couple of times and both times was a bad experience camp managers were ignorant and treated me like crap and started a lot of problems that were never true telling me that I was resposnable for my friends lot as well and for his company mean while I rented my own site and stayed on my own site never left it unless I had to go to the store or use the washrooms in the village I never started anything I kept to my self but still got treated like crap because I showed up in a tent trailer
