The owner and his impressively renovated accommodation ensured our escape was all we could have dreamed for. Ideally situated in the heart of Merrickville with an iconic view of the surrounding historic architecture and local artisan boutiques, we couldn't recommend this place more. Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. A big thank you to the host for helping making our special getaway so magical!

We loved our stay at Merrickville Guest Suites! We fit a family of 5 (baby in a playpen) with no trouble in the huge room. It has a comfy queen bed, a double pull out couch a table and chairs to eat at and lots of books and games. My daughter noted “daddy this is the only place we’ve ever stayed with Netflix and YouTube. Best of all, when Michael found out we were arriving by boat, he offered to pick us up and drive us the 3 blocks from the dock to his house. What amazing service. He even provided us with a few breakfast snacks. All restaurants and pubs within a 2 block walk - warning - some pubs close at 9 on weekdays. Couldn’t have picked a better spot. Thanks Michael!

Michael is a superb host. The apartment is smack dab in the middle of beautiful Merrickville. The weather was unbearably hot and humid during our stay, but the air conditioner in the apartment worked perfectly. The munchies in the fridge and on the kitchen table were greatly appreciated. My wife and I like to have separate beds on our vacations, and she lost the coin toss. She thought that the sofa bed might be ready for a new mattress, but she still slept well. I thoroughly enjoyed the big comfy bed. (I've lost the coin toss on many occasions!). We wouldn't hesitate to book this apartment the next time we visit Merrickville.

This was a repeat visit for us and we'll be returning. It's within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The room has a queen bed and a pull out double bed. Nice kitchen area. Perfect for girls weekend away. It's also nice and quiet. We highly recommend.

Had a great weekend stay at Merrickville Guest Suite. Location was perfect, conveniently located on the Main Street. Bed was comfy, suite was very spacious. Lots of hot water and fluffy towels. Although we did not use the kitchen, it had everything needed for simple cooking.

I went to this hotel two weeks ago, and my family was happy with the fashionable design and furniture in this room. The room was cery clean and comfortable. I lived to watch the DVD there, Before sunrise(?) i’m not sure exactly. Anyway i ciuld see the sky sitting on the sofa. Besides, this village was very pretty and has lots of things to see.

Fabulously appointed and centrally located in the beautiful town of Merrickville, we were sad to only have one night here ( we were in a bike tour of Ottowa’s Waterways- and only one day into our week long tour!). We would return here in a NY minute! Michael was a fabulous host, easy to reach, and very accommodating!

We have stayed at the Merrickvile Guest suites many times and in this trip we booked not only a suite on the main road but also the studio suite for our family with 3 small children. The accommodation is great, the decorations very nice with comfortable beds and all that we needed. But, the breakfasts need some improvement. Small bags of granola, granola bars, milk, ojuice and yoghourt are provided. In earlier days muffins were includes from a local coffee shop which was great. I was a bit concerned about the granola bars as they looked as if they had been handled (i.e. squashed in various places) by previous guests who presumably didn't use them. The large glass bowl that contained the granola, granola bars, loose tea bags, sugar packets and sweetener was also a bit unappealing with everything mixed together. In the studio suite,my family found this quiet and spacious but with no kitchenette they had to wash their dishes in the bathroom sink which was quite awkward since the bathroom was small. A great improvement would be a small kitchenette in the studio suite. We would stay there again but there is competition in Merrickville now so it would worth reviewing the breakfast offerings.…

Really nice room, only one complaint there was no bedding for the pullout couch. Everything else was great. super clean and very quiet. An ice cream store was a bonus.really nice shopping and restaurants

Merrickville suites is located right on the Main Street. Clean, well appointed, comfortable, easy to access and Free parking. Everything was at the doorstep, quaint shops where one can find great cloths, local artisans work and much more, delicious gelato and sweets as well as a good selection of places to dine. Evening markets and music, it’s a great place to relax and and pamper yourself. Even though the location is central the evenings we relaxing and quiet. Slept well and woke up looking forward to another day in the area. Great stay!
