Detailed Reviews
Our 3 night stay was excellent, we stayed in the Rainforest Lodge the accommodation was well appointed, on entering we felt at home it had a very good feel about it.
Inside the Lodge was spotless and well maintained, it was June and the nights a little cool the air conditioning and gas fire heater warmed the whole area even the bedroom upstairs. The breakfast hamper more than an adequate with everything that you would need. The Drawing Rooms is a secluded private area and good area for walks.
The four lodges are separated from each other by a good distance making each lodge extremely private. It was a great stay and we will stay again

An excellent location, just outside the lovely town of Berry, set within great grounds & each lodge had a great feeling of been on its own.
Nick was very good at getting back to questions & gave all the info we needed.
Our lodge- Wattamolla was fab, we had visits from Wombats at dusk & Kangeroo in the mornings a great sight to see... & all along the roads were Lyerbirds.
Inside every thing had been thought of, barista machine, dishwasher, BBQ etc
& the bottle of red & fresh milk was very welcoming
Berry had a great selection of shops & restaurants..
& the area is good for visiting Kangeroo valley & the coast.
If you want fab accommodation in this area look no further!

Thank you so much for the great review! Yes, the lodges are really well positioned being so discreet from one another, they really do (each) feel so secluded. Good to hear Nick (my dad) was good at the comms! We try hard to stay on top of things and get back to people quickly. Very glad to hear the wombats and roos played their parts and gave you a visit - sometimes the lyrebirds come right up to the lodges too - but yes, usually you'll see one on the road if not. Thanks for the feedback on the coffee machines and other goods. We'd love to have you return again one day. Thanks again, Michael

Gorgeous 2 bedroom cottage completely private surrounded by stunning views of the country side,So picturesque, Loved the gas fire, very cosy and warm inside the cottage,Great value and yummy breakfast hamper that was enough for 2 days breakfasts. Loved the sour dough bread. Perfect for four ladies on a weekend escape from Sydney.
Only 10 minutes drive from Berry where we had dinner and 15 minutes drive from Crooked Wines Vineyard where we had a lazy long lunch and used Dave the hire car who was recommended by Nick from Drawing Rooms. Everything was just easy.

Hi Kathleen, thank you very much for your kind review - we're so pleased you enjoyed your girls weekend away! We love Crooked River Wines too. It's great to hear you enjoyed your breakfast hamper - we do enjoy making them. We do also offer a Girls Getaway package which includes champagne, massages and pampering foot rituals, so if you wanted to come and do another girls weekend here we would love to arrange that for you. Fabulous two night stay. Nick ( owner) brought over a hamper full of breakfast goodies that was ample for our stay.Local Bacon & sausages, eggs, tomatoes , sourdough loaf, Lurpak butter ( yum) chocolates, blueberrres, strawberries, honey & jam and fresh juice. The cottage had all the amenities including a great Breville coffee machine with fresh beans ready to go. Spacious, spotlessly clean, loft bedroom with high threadcount White sheets and gas fireplace, The cathedral ceilings showcase the sparkly highlands night sky all from the comfort of the king size bed. Such a beautiful place to just zone out and take in the best of nature. We had an echidna come visit us on the first night! The grounds are beautifully manicured and September brings Snow White blossoms. Plenty to do including the Drawing Rooms Hike just up the Road. Two Figs winery is a short drive away and has a great cellar door experience. I cant say enough about our stay at Drawing rooms. If you want to recharge, reconnect and get plenty of fresh air... what are you waiting for!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Rainforest Lodge and left feeling relaxed - great to hear you were able to explore our beautiful region and that you saw one of our resident echidnas, we're so lucky with all the beautiful wildlife up here. Really pleased you enjoyed the breakfast hamper and coffee machine too - we couldn't resist getting one of those for ourselves too and they're very addictive! Do come back and visit us again sometime. Best wishes, Hannah

My husband, toddler and I stayed at the Wattamolla lodge for 3 nights.
It was extremely clean upon arrival, with everything you would need incl air con, great wifi, plates, utensils, extra blankets, coffee machine etc.
The views from the room were breathtaking and we even got to see some lovely animals right outside our room incl kangaroos, rabbits and cows.
The staff were very accomodating, friendly and professional. The extras we ordered (continental breakfast and picnic basket) were of the highest quality. the massages were received at our lodge were also amazing.
By the end of the trip our family was very relaxed and rejuvenated. We will definately stay here again!

I stayed with my mum to celebrate her 60th birthday and the drawing rooms of berry were nothing short of incredible. We stayed at the Lyrebird which was incredibly well kept and spacious, we also appreciated a hand written note to wish my mum a happy birthday. The owners were lovely and made sure we had a great time. The property itself is beautiful and each morning there were wallabies outside our window eating. Location is great as well, only a 10 minute drive to Queen Street Berry.

Beautiful peaceful place just outside Berry. The place itself located in lovely surroundings with manicured gardens. The lodge is very spacious and equipped with everything. We were given very generous breakfast hamper, which did us two breakfasts. We had a nice relaxing few days. Some days we stayed in and cooked our own meals and other times went to Berry to have a meal or have a drinks in cafes. Nice view of a forest from our balcony, where we spent many hours listening to birds and watching two kangaroos sunning themselves on a patch of grass. My husband very much enjoyed the coffee machine. We liked the bathroom amenities shampoo, body wash etc., smells beautiful. The hand wash is my favourite.

Perfect long weekend away in private, and beautiful surroundings. We stayed at the Wattamolla , one of the lodges on the property that had the best vista , looking out to the mountains. A small supply of milk, and complimentary bottle of wine as a gift, is a lovely touch on arrival. Beds, kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities are comfortable, kitchen well equiped with washing products, and recycling options. Operating washing and super quick dryer was fantastic to wash the kids’ wet socks & trousers when they explored the open field. Gum boots needed on wet days. Sitting on the front porch, playing board games with the family, drinking a cup of tea... a spot is kangaroos on the grounds with plenty to do nearby in Berry and Kangaroo Valley. This was our second stay in Wattamolla and we look forward to doing it all over again. Nick is prompt in communication & a helpful host. You can really tell the business is run with love & care.

Thanks very much Tamia for your lovely review. We used lockdown to upgrade kitchens and bathrooms which has made a huge difference to our lodges. Yes, Wattamolla has a great view of Drawing Room Rocks and Cooks Nose. We do try our best to keep our communication prompt and useful without too much interference! Cheers, Nick

+1
We stayed at Treetops during a rainy week and it couldn't have been better! With a gas fire, bath with views inside, outdoor spa area and a barbecue and fully equipped kitchen we didn't want to leave! We had such a lovely relaxing stay and the house is just lovely and comes with everything you need including breakfast provisions and delightful local bathroom products. The local bottle of wine left for us to enjoy was greatly appreciated. With Berry and the Kangaroo Valley right on your doorstep there are many delightful wineries to visit, lovely shops in Berry and great walks around the area. Treetops is perfectly private for a luxurious couple stay but there are 3 other lodges on the property for more than one couple or families. The Drawing Rooms is a beautiful property and each lodge is positioned to give total privacy. Highly recommend the hosts who were there if we needed them (we didn't!) but did not intrude. Many thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

The property is about 10 mins drive from the main town of Berry, nestled in the rolling hillside. As you drive into the property there is the reception house on the left, followed by 4 lodges, all set enough apart to give amble privacy to all. We stayed in the Wattamolla lodge; two story with two bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, laundry and everything you could need for a weekend away (we especially loved the barista coffee machine!). The beds were comfy, and it had amble heating. As we were travelling with a toddler I was a little concerned he would be bored, but between the cows in the property next door, fish watching (in the property's dams) and bush-walks, he was very well entertained. A beautiful retreat, highly recommended.
