I was in Bowral for one night and stayed at the Gibraltar. On arrival there was one very surly staff member at the front desk who never raised a smile. Zero service! The hotel has zero warmth. On the website and from the outside it looks modern and inviting. When you walk in there is zero warmth or anything endearing!...

We had a mid week stay at Gibraltar. It was absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous location on a golf course, away from any main roads. So very peaceful, would have loved to stay longer. The Staff were lovely and very helpful too!

Four of us went to the formal restaurant went for dinner and dinner was tasty and well presented plus the service was good. All of us enjoyed our dinner plus me ( the mother). I would recommend this hotel for dinner and also the casual bar nearby.

Very nice hotel, beautifully appointed room, quality bed and linen. Huge bathroom (shower only in my room) but good access and lighting. Toiletries provided with a nice Australian scented touch in the products. Outlook from the room depends on the room. Preferred outlook is over the golf course. Two restaurants to choose from and the dining experience wasn't as good...

Very comfortable hotel: from the reception area to the room and the lovely beds. The restaurant was a highlight: fabulous service and great food and wine. The bar was buzzing and with a good choice of car food and drinks. The room didn't have a great view ( just rooftop) but was a huge size: 2 queen beds fitted easily.

Stayed for two nights. Went to Harveys for dinner, food was absolutely delicious and it was lovely to hear the great man himself playing the piano. First morning we were sitting in room, tap on door 'would you like your room serviced' sure we said thinking that they would come back when we weren't there and do it. NOPE, they...

We are locals in Bowral and try to support local businesses where possible, however sometimes they have such a focus on visitors it's infuriating. We tried to go for a drink this afternoon at the Gibraltar hotel and all the front doors where locked. I rang reception and I was advised that the hotel was fully booked, I explained we...

I had a lovely stay at the Gibraltar which included lunch in the funky Harveys bar and dinner in the dining room. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean except for Easter Sunday when they dusted bunny foot prints on the carpet and left each room a Lindt easter egg. The Children had a free Easte Egg...

I found the Gibraltar Hotel to be lovely. I had a large room overlooking the golf course. I wish I could have stayed longer. The restaurant was nice, albeit expensive (~$70 per person for one course). It is a four star establishment with no assistance with bags, dressing gowns, slippers, or that kind of thing. Our room was quiet. The...

Ok in all, but expected a bit more effort, could be anywhere - not much context of the surrounding district in terms of decor, food or beverages offered. Met the grade but no wow factor, could add a few local touches.
