I was camping on a powered site, site number 107. It was a perfect spot, with plenty of shade for those 30c + days. The only downside of the camping in a tent was the sites are all sandy/dusty/gritty, with what felt like concrete about 3-5cm below the surface - not great for successfully hammering tent pegs in to (many...

The best thing about North Coast Holiday Parks - Clarkes Beach is the location. No need to pack up the car and drive to the beach, because it is only a stones throw away! We stayed in a two bedroom cottage/hut which was comfortable and enough room for five people. Especially liked barbecuing whilst watching whales breach in Byron Bay...

Parked up the RV for 2 nights. Great site, clean and directly onto Byron beach and walking distance to BYRON BAY LIGHTHOUSE. 2 downsides for us..WIFI although free is very poor, we didn't get any signal. Also the RV sites are on shingle sand which clings to ur feet and gets into RV. Minor points really I guess . Well...

Great spot right on the beach, not cheap but it is a nice park with good facility's, can be very busy in the summer months and very hot. Byron bay itself can be very expensive ,but if you are not worried about that then you will enjoy the place.

This Holiday Park features cabins, tent sites and caravan sites in a bush setting. Our site was at the back of the park, so it was a bit of a trip to use the bathroom (and the hand dryers were out of action), however more than compensating for this was the large camp kitchen practically at our door. A beautiful...

Right on the beach at Byron, just 10mins walk to town, along the beach, or pathway. Best camp kitchen I have seen, right on the beach. Watch the sunset, & the surf while you cook & eat dinner . Great coffee shop/ restaurant at the gates. Can't wait to go back.

Great location, nice clean and well managed site. Well worth it - would recommend! Quite packed in but the site is small and that's the price you pay being so close to the centre. Good to leave the car especially when you mostly have to pay to park everywhere.

Perfect location, walking distance from town, great facilities in the park, BBQ and kitchen areas, playground for the kids. We stayed in the cabins, which were layed out nicely with everything we needed. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness off the cabin, nothing short of a poor effort from the cleaners and staff, for the price per night it...

More than just a terrific location Clarkes Beach Holiday Park is a real standout. Extensive landscaping, modern ammenities and friendly, efficient service make this a winning combination. The only problem was frequent cold shower water, hopefully sorted out. The additional toilets outside the amenity block are a great idea.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Want to be close to the splendor of nature but not too far from the reassuring hiss of a cappuccino machine? Then Clarkes Beach Holiday Park is your perfect holiday destination. A recent winner of the prestigious Environment Excellence Award, it provides a serene, tranquil environment, with an abundance of plant and animal life. It is an oasis amongst the sand dunes with its modern facilities, amazing views and great atmosphere. It is also within walking distance – and if you take the beach route, what a walk that is! – to Byron Bay, and all the delights that bustling town has to offer, be they shopping, eating or entertainment. Some of Australia’s most iconic beaches: Main Beach, The Pass and Wategoes Beach are all within walking distance of the park, and all have something extraordinary to offer. For the surfer there are those world famous waves, for the family there is squeaky white sand, crystal clear water and the reassurance of patrolled areas, and not to forget the simple pleasures such as enjoying a picnic lunch on the park’s own viewing platform while watching, spellbound, as the migrating whales pass. ... more   less
