We booked the self contained cottage which could fit 6. The cottage was clean, had a kettle and a mini fridge. We also had our own parking lot and taking the shuttle into town was a breeze. Kids were allowed when staying in this cottage but had to be accompanied at all times when in common area. Awesome restaurant beside Wakeup! Byron. The staff were professional and always helpful. We were able to use the communal toilets for a quick shower even after checking out.

We stayed with our family of 6, the room had sufficient beds which is always a challenge. Positives were that there was bedding & a bathroom in the cottage but cottage is a big exaggeration...it is a bunkroom, tiny meaning floor where the bed takes up all the space, bathroom & tiny room down stairs. It apparently includes a kitchenette- a bench, fridge & dishes. Apparently you are meant to wash your dishes in the bathroom or carry them right across the property to the shared kitchen? And 2 chairs, a small bed and no table. Hardly enough for a room for 6 people. Surfboards provided & being on thr Beach was a drawcord but the surfers in our family said the boards were awful. Overall it wasn't nearly as good as described and we were all pleased we were only there one night. For the same money in other locations we had a proper 3 bedroom apartment with full kitchen and proper beds. …

Rooms don’t get serviced. If you want a back packers very standard accommodation then this is the place. Stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin with bathroom. Bathroom very run down. Staff friendly. Bikes available for free to hire. Next door to the Tree House restaurant so very handy. Close to Italian restaurant only 15 mins walk into Byron town.

I stayed here for a few weeks in a shared dorm while looking for a place to live and i cannot recommend this place enough! I have stayed in the shared dorms and a private room and all the rooms are modern, cleaned well and are the perfect place to live or stay for a few nights. The staff have been amazing to me and helped me out when I needed to get test results back - they have been very understanding and helpful on multiple occasions. The hostel itself is beautiful and very quiet considering its so close to town, whenever I finish work i look forward to coming back to my temporary home and being able to get away from the hustle and bustle of byron. Thanks for everything!

I stayed with my sister & my 2 kids (12 & 14). We stayed in a cabin which was spacious & modern & had everything you'd want. I was worried there might be alot of noise or partyers hanging around but it was perfectly fine for a family. My sister hired a bike & she & my daughter did the yoga which was great. Right across from beautiful Belongil Beach & the Treehouse cafe/bar next door is excellent

I join a trip last minute with my friends. They had already booked their accommodations with wake up! In Byron when I joined so they called and asked if they could add me into their room or if would be trouble. They added me no problem and we’re very accommodating to us from before we even arrived to when we left. This lovely hostel is located on the beach 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the town. They offer a free shuttle every hour and have the option to hire bikes, surf boards or paddle boards free of charge also. They have a lovely bar/restaurant attached which is very respectful of the patrons staying in the hostel. Everyone seemed very nice, including the guests in the hostel. Would definitely come back and recommend.

We booked a double, but received a complementary upgrade to an double with ensuite , which was great for a quick shower after swimming at the beach directly opposite the hostel. Loved the location outside the city center, which was very quiet after 10pm and perfect for those laid back beach days, but just a quick complementary shuttle bus ride away for those daytime shopping trips or nighttime explorations of Byron's bars and restaurants. Clean, modern and accommodating, I can't recommend it enough!

Even with the rain, Byron Bay is still one of my favourite places in Australia! Wakeup was clean, cosy + comfortable and the lady on reception was sooo lovely and smiley! Would recommend and would go back!

Such a great hostel, clean, friendly, nice outdoor spaces. Right next door are two cafes / restaurants, and opposite the beach. Great bike hire such a good addition as it’s a bit of a way from the town centre

Great hostel offering lots of free activities such as PT sessions, yoga, free surf boards/bikes and paddle boards! Clean and tidy rooms and bathrooms and the staff are all so friendly and offer great service! Would defiantly come back here! A little bit out of town but you can walk it and if you don’t want to then the shuttle runs every hour and is free!
