This was our fourth stay with the Beachcomber and we love being there. Apartments are well maintained and clean and tidy. Pool and spa is fantastic. The location couldn’t be better as it is just a very short stroll into the heart of Byron but we also love the access out the back, over the train tracks and then straight at the beach. Andrew and the team are always a pleasure to deal with and are very friendly and efficient. We will always stay here when we go to Byron.
Room 6B ground floor with small balcony/courtyard and no view. Other rooms in this complex had large balcony with view. Room worked well - everything worked. Cutlery and crockery/ glasses for a couple. Spacious except for the courtyard. Attractively presented. Good pool and BBQ area. Apartment living without daily room make-up, do your own rubbish removal and recycling. Also do your own towel changes with fresh room towels and pool towels readily available. Likewise tea, coffee and biscuits available in foyer along with bottled water and sunscreen. Location is 7-10 minutes walk from town and restaurants. Excellent undercover parking and street parking is limited …maybe just outside the metered parking. Beach access is directly outside back door but current coastal erosion hinders access to beach. Better to take the 10 minute walk to town beach or use the pool. Great place to stay in Byron!…
For the price we really weren’t expecting such a pleasant, clean, spacious and well appointed apartment. So close to the beach with secret direct access. Short stroll into town. Staff and management went over and above to help with all enquires even lending us their own personal stroller for my toddler. Pool area was quiet and our ground floor apt was so easily accessible with a baby. Loved our stay and can’t wait to come again.
The hotel is in a great location, far enough away from the main street of Byron, but close enough to walk everywhere which was perfect for us. We stayed in Bryon for 4 nights. The room was clean enough, but found that was very over priced for what you get. Anywhere else and it would be a 3 star resort. Byron Bay as a whole is very overpriced, which is surprising given that the average age of people there seems to be early-mid twenties. A little disappointed that not even tissues were supplied in the room. But overall was ok. The hotel mentioned beach access, however, even though there is a gate, you need to walk through scrub, over railway tracks, and over sand dunes to get there.
Check in was efficient but welcome was lacking. Great location, 6 minute walk to cafes, restaurants and shopping in the main street, further 2 minutes to main beach. Pleasant pool area, though on the small side, good hot spa. Secure undercover parking. On the downside, lots of noise from other rooms - the doors bang loudly when closed and could hear what people in next room were saying. Light from hotel next door shining into room entire night, bright light in hallway kept on all night and shone under door (should be dimmed after 10pm). Room was dark and damp, no privacy when curtain opened due to hotel next door. No water pressure in shower made it almost impossible to wash hair or properly rinse off soap. Rooms are only serviced every 8 days. Only one set of towels provided. Notice said free laundry downstairs but we grabbed fresh towels off a trolley in the hall and placed wet towels in a basket near the pool. Think other guests did same. Floor in room wasn't clean. I swept every day - going under chairs and tables - so much dust and other bits of rubbish. No sharp knife in cutlery drawer. Rubbish bin had a bad odour. At $360 per night was very over priced but demand is there as wasn't much else left in Byron at time of booking.…
Stayed here for the second time and it hasn’t changed. It’s conveniently located close to town, so we were able to walk everywhere. The rooms are spacious, although ours was a little bland. Would love to have a full sized fridge as it is marketed towards longer stays and it’s more an apartment than a hotel room.
Byron Beachcomber was the perfect place for me to spend 10 nights in Byron while on holiday and attending a wedding in the hinterland. Andrew and Jacinta were very welcoming and cheerfully answered all my questions and helped me organise tours while I was there. My room was clean and spacious, the bed was super comfortable. It is only a short walk to the town along a well lit main road and I felt safe walking alone at night back after meeting up with friends and family from the wedding at one of the many fabulous restaurants in Byron. It was a bonus that the Skybus from the Gold Coast stopped right outside. I definitely recommend Byron Beachcomber and intend staying there on my next visit.
Stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip and loved it. Our room was a generous size and the bed was super comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly and also provide free water bottles to guests. Reception is not 24 hours, but they have an easy checkout system where you just drop the key off in the box located either in the secure underground carpark or near reception. Location is the best part. A short walk to the main strip of shops and the beach. I’d definitely stay here again!
Location is amazing- 2 minute walk to beach and rowen centre. Beach is patrolled and not over crowded. Room was clean and very spacious. Excellent value for money considering the location and facilities. Pool is heated and relaxing. Will definitely return and stay much longer!
Located within easy walk of the shops and beach so no need to deal with the constant heavy traffic. Apartment was clean and well presented, a little tied looking but had everything we need. Pool and garden surrounds were very well kept, which also included a large BBQ area. All in all a pretty convenient and enjoyable place to stay when visiting Byron.
