We stayed in Cabin 85 on 29th November 2022, and found that it was mouldy in the bathroom, around the AC unit, very basic, broken toilet door and ? fleas, bed bugs as covered in bites following 1 night stay. Poor air and mould triggered asthma attack. Was charged $410 for this, and owners stated it was the only cabin available, and had been preowned, hence it's condition. We were not advised of this at the time of booking. Owner stated that this was the normal charge rate for the Byron area. We had stayed at another Byron Bay facility previous week on a Saturday, which was immaculate, well ventilated and half the price. Unfortunately we could not stay there on the 29th, as booked out and had to resort to Glen Villa. I would not recommend this facility to anyone due to our experience.

We stayed here for 2 days whilst visiting Byron Bay. We had a powered pitch which was quite small (wedged between a caravan and tent) but for our little CamperVan wasn’t a problem! The campsite was a 10 minute walk from the centre of Byron Bay. The reception staff were nice and friendly. The facilities were very good and clean. We would stay again.

Had booked 2 nights accommodation in 2019 but had to cancel due to COVID. Refused to give cash refund but gave credit. When tried booking again was told the $140 credit only gave me 1 night not 2. Had to cancel again due to COVID and floods. Tried again to get cash refund - refused. My $140 credit would only give me one night in a sub standard cabin. Asked again for cash refund - refused. Avoid this “resort” at all costs. Terrible and unsympathetic refund policy.

Cabin were small for the price $150 night, beds were good, air-con worked well. Good size 📺 TV. Very quiet park in terms of no noises guests during my stay,so quiet, found it strange no children here, no playground! Small pool but nice. What bother me with the cabin, was right next to toilet and shower block, so the outside lights are on the whole night and shined through the side window. For a week stayed, you would think they put me in another cabin. Didn't mention it as couldn't be bother to move after day 1. I found this park good location, short walk to shops, through the side lane of the bus port. The staff were nice and helpful if you needed anything! I found the park quiet boring and Byron wasn't the place for me, not sure what the fuss is about Byron! Beach were average and cafe very tactic looking, Woolworths centre was nice to visit. Some nice looking clothes shop! Been all around Australia, Byron would have to be my least favorite place and that's a week I won't get back 😕

We stayed for 4 nights including Christmas (yes I am behind on my reviews). We really enjoyed our stay in the Motorhome. The access to central Byron and the beach is great, either by bike or walking. The supermarket and cinema are close as are restaurants, bars and the hub of Byron life. The site we had was powered (needed the air conditioning) and we had loads of space and didn't feel crowded at all. It was a grassy natural site with the river behind and good trees to provide shade. The wildlife around the site was also great - good bird life everywhere. Be careful not leave rubbish or snacks unattended as the birds have mastered that one :-). The bathroom block was good and regularly cleaned. Being Christmas all the accommodation was busy, we booked very early in the year and recommend this if travelling over the holiday periods. All up we felt very lucky to have found a good spot to rest for 4 days in Byron.

Fantastic camp ground. Our caravan fits the sites beautifully and the all the amenities are immaculate. Beautifully manicured lawns and really close to downtown Byron. The new butler St bypass hasn't increased the road noise at all. Great place to stay

Booked caravan site on phone I gave them credit card details for deposit they took the full accommodation charge without the 10 percent GDay discount, on arrival I was told the manager would have to arrange the credit, on departure the manager refused credit as there system doesn’t do credits. Very rude and unprofessional manager . Wouldn’t recommend as a last resort

Worst accommodation absolutely filthy, dated and over priced. We stayed here with a group over Easter and paid a premium rate of $350 a night (based on 2 adults) with a min stay of 4 nights. I can honestly say this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed and I’m shocked that Glen Villa have so many good reviews, perhaps they stayed when the rate was low so expectations weren’t anymore than average. I hate leaving bad reviews especially for independent businesses but I really feel I need to warn others from staying here. Ok so let’s start... The good - good location close to town, walking distance no more than 10 mins - Clean shared facilities. Camping and caravans would be the better option - Well kept grounds - Quiet location, no loud parties - Comfortable beds The BAD - cottages are extremely dated, mix match furniture, dark, gloomy and unwelcoming. We had a ‘luxury’ cottage which was far from luxury. - Absolutely filthy. Every surface is sticky and dirty - even the dining chairs. Dirty blinds. I was forever washing my hands they constantly felt dirty and sticky - Carpets are from the 70’s, heavily stained and dirty all over - Damp, mould smell throughout even after airing all windows open - We didn’t use the wardrobes or any cupboards as their was a foul smell from all of them - Old broken appliances - Furniture is old and tatty and sofas are stained and dirty - Tv doesn’t work - Smelly air con in the bedroom - Filthy windows, walls and doors - Massively over priced - Inconsistent messages from staff throughout booking process - Not family friendly - no cots or high chairs available, you have to pay extra to hire from a local company - Old worn towels and bathroom products are basic. Like I said, I genuinely hate leaving bad reviews and normally can’t be bothered to waste my time writing them. I usually leave a place, let the dust settle then forget about writing a review and move on from it but on this occasion I really feel like Glen Villa should take some feedback on board and tidy up all their cottages, especially after advertising some as luxury. No wonder they only have one image on their website. Some villas are privately owned and it’s obvious the owners put no money or expense in maintaining these. I’ve stayed in nicer and cleaner $5 hostels.
