I loved Bamboo Cottage. The communal kitchen and lounge area is very warm and welcoming. The accommodation was spotless. The cottage looks very romantic. The only thing I will say is that if you want solitude you might not get that. The lovely lady who greets guests and tends the premises is very chatty and always seemed to be talking... More

10 of us stayed for a long weekend for a friends birthday. First impressions were exactly what I had hope for, a very leafy & beach style feel with plenty of room indoors and out to spend time relaxing, if not at the beach or roaming the streets of Byron. The house and cottage are great for entertaining and the... More

I stayed one night here with my bae. We were greeted very kindly and the room was very cozy and romantic. No air conditioning so if you're looking for a B&B with A/C then this place is not for you. It had a wonderful ceiling fan that kept us cool at night and the breakfast was all self serve granola... More

we hired the cottage.... It was adorable... Weathered but that was part of the rustic charm. The room was spacious and we had a private patio area. Walking distance to the centre of town...plenty of parking.... Walking distance to main beach

What a three nights...! Had the "pleasure" to experience three different rooms in three nights. The first and "cheapest" room lasted 2 minutes, I walked in and I walked out ( never imagined you can rent out a walk in wardrobe as a room...) Got "upgraded" ( for good money) to the cottage at the back for one night (this... More

I had a lovely and welcoming experience at bamboo cottage. The gardens are absolutely wonderful and tranquil. The manager Louise was very helpful with directions, attractions, shops etc. I felt very safe and relaxed within the cottage. The only thing I would say is the room is fairly overpriced was what is was but overall it was a great experience.

Yes, it's rustic and no, it hasn't changed much since I last came here seven years ago and that's exactly what makes it such a charming and relaxing wonderland. The Bamboo Cottage seems to sit outside of time and space, a little cavern of delightful curiosities for the soul and perfect escape from the "real world". My time here helped... More

Walked in and everything was as the photos, which must have been take 20 or more years ago!!! Antiquated and tired place. Desperate for renewal. Unclean and musty. Walked out. Loved location so went around the corner.

An eclectic experience and warm welcome by Louise. Lovely looking up at the stars in the Jacaranda room. Easy walk to the centre of Byron Bay and beach. Enjoy the cottage and it's surroundings for a good price.

“The single room is quite small but if you're travelling light or staying for a while there is room to store clothing etc. All rooms are situated well away from noise as the cottage is tucked away from any main roads.”

“The Bali House is a mini cottage perfect for couples or artists which is separate from the main house with the other bedrooms. The bed is in little space on raised platform that is very romantic but may be difficult to access if you have mobility issues, just a heads up.”
