Me and my friend stayed for 4 nights. When we arrived we had to wait for 2 hours for the room to get ready, then we at least expected it to be ready, but there were no sheets at the beds, we had to ask for it the next day. The rooms are okay, but not worth the price.. The...

Hi Amalie We're sorry that you weren't happy at our hostel and that the behaviour of other guests was not considerate. YHA does not permit drug use and the manager would always address that. It was not the actual hostel staff that you had dealings with but some temporary helpers, who have now moved on. We hope it hasn't affected...

My friend and I had a great stay at the Brisbane YHA and assumed this would be similar. We were so wrong. We arrived at 10 pm on a Friday. Maybe this was our problem. The place was like a giant frat party with drunk teenagers (or ppl in their early twenties) screaming and staggering everywhere. We are ~30ish and...

Hi Thanks for your review. All YHA hostels are different - that's part of staying in hostels that they come in all shapes and sizes! Byron is generally a very backpacker and beach lifestyle type of town and the hostel reflects that. We're sorry you weren't happy and there are plans underway for some exciting new developments at the hostel...

Good Byron vibes in combination with friendly staff as well as the chilled out backpackers made for an unforgetable experience. The free lighthouse walk was my highlight and something I highly recommend.

So glad I chose here to stay for my time in Byron. I arrived at 8am and was told to wait til just after 10 when the previous guest would have checked out, and was then able to get straight into my room. Great pool and not too busy, good location and not far from the bus station. Only negative...

This hostel is great. The communal areas and pool are nice and open and there is plenty of space. The kitchen is spacious and very clean and the beds and rooms have lockers and are comfortable and spacious. The major downside for us was that we were in a 5 share room and the fan on the ceiling did nothing...

Hostel is typicall surfer-style (including the smell :)) but you will love it. 5 min to bus stop and supermarket and 10 min to the beach. Rooms a bit small but ok, bathrooms and kitchen are clean. Free pancakes were awesome. Comfy for lying around and relaxing. TV room is really big and they even had Yoga classes for small...

Great location. Less than 5 minute walk from the beach, bars and shops. Swimming pool was cool. Clean place, helpful staff and spacious bedroom rooms. Nice chillout rooms. Downside is its quite compact and small. Good all the same.
