Stayed here for one night last Tuesday on our way from Canberra to Central Qld. The motel was quite dated and in need of a bit of a refurb. However, our room was spotless and the air con coped well with the recent extreme heat. The restaurant is quite small and the menu is restricted in the extreme, only 4...

We overnighted here on our way to Queensland and it was a pleasant place to stay. The room was a great size, the bed was good, the shower was good and we had the normal amenities of coffee/tea making plus a toaster. The man on the desk (I think he was probably the owner) was pleasant and accommodating. He provided...

We stayed here as an overnight on our way to Qld. Lovely check in staff, super clean room, quiet and the air conditioning was like a freezer! The kids had a swim in the pool and unlike other hotels which had a stretcher for the third child this one had a proper bed. We would definitely recommend this place. Thankyou...

My room in this3 star motel has recently undergone refurbishment, so the room and the bathroom were in good condition. A basic country motel, the staff are obliging and professional, the location is very good for town, and it is clean and inexpensive. My room suffered from 2 lighting problems: the first that there was very little natural light through...

We were directed to this motel by the very helpful staff at the Information Centre. The motel is basic, but clean and very comfortable. The room was quiet, the shower hot, and the pool was a very welcome respite from the heat, which was becoming quite oppressive. The motel was a short walk from the local bowling club where we...

Good place for overnight stay. Nice salt water pool. Best to eat out. You can order breakfast for the morning but nothing special there. Would stay there again. I left my pillow behind and they were very quick to contact me re this.

While it still has the good old geometric bedspreads that are dotted all over Australia, it was a clean, neat and cool room. Tea/coffee/biscuits/bathroom products all complimentary. The pool was clear and refreshing, with sun lounges, and also a sheltered table. It was quiet inside the room unlike other motels. There was a restaurant within the complex, and breakfast could...

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting family. Whilst it was very basic & dated it was clean & comfortable. It is very close to town but very quiet. The restaurant is very limited but there are others very close by. Good for a short stay.

We booked for an overnight stay on our trip south. This is is a great motel that has a recent upgrade, the room was good and comfortable, it is the type of place you could stay longer if needed. Handy to town, good wifi, so ticks all the boxes.

This is a typical 1970s/80s motel on the Newell Highway. The location in Coonabarabran is great - a stumbling distance to the Golden Sea Dragon Chinese Restaurant, and most other things in Coona. The staff were very friendly. However, I wouldn't want to stay here for a long period of time. The beds were hard, and pillows overly squishy. The...
