Very well appointed, clean and handy, absolute waterfront bungalow.
Private parking and private accomodation. The property has its own jetty and is at the beginning of the estuary opposite the town.
Owner operator is friendly and welcoming and a wealth of local knowledge.
We will stay here again..

A great spot. Immaculately clean. Has everything you need, with extra little touches to make your stay easy and comfortable. What we also noticed was the lack of “Bossy” signs telling you don’t do this, do that etc that you often find in accommodations like this leaving you feeling like you can’t be trusted. You are left to just enjoy your time in peace and quiet. Easy walk to town, swim from your front doorstep, or take a dip in the pool. How did we not know about this place for all the years we’ve been going to Husky. Ditch the hotel…. You will be way more comfortable here.

We stayed in Waterfront #3, it turned out this was the best location as you don't have anyone walking past your unit. Fantastic views of the river and out to the bay, it was so great to have the private jetty outside our door, launching our paddleboards was so easy.

Disappointed with Unit 3. Unable to get vehicle near unit so carried everything to and from. Continually sticking toilet button (obviously not a new problem.) Bedroom blind unable to stay up. Handle on door out to deck broken.
Not what I was expecting for the amount charged.

We stayed for a weekend at a cost of $285 per night in a 2 bed room unit. For that money I expect clean accommodation and facilities to be as advertised. A "fully equipped" kitchen was promised as was a bath. Neither were provided. The kitchen had a tatty old single portable hot plate and two tiny saucepans. In addition there is a kettle and microwave. We needed to cook the pasta in 3 stages to fit enough in for 3 people. There was no bath at all, but the shower was certainly adequate, although it detracted from our enjoyment to wash hands in the cracked basin, and listen to the dirt clatter around in the extraction fan. The view from the ranch slider is nice. Surprisingly, although pets are not allowed, the owner's dog spent many peaceful hours on the front decking of our unit. Less pleasant was the excrement left on the grass by the jetty. I'm not sure how guests could use the jetty. There is not enough space to park a boating trailer, and the owners rejected our request to borrow one of the kayaks that they keep adjacent to it.

We stayed two nights here in one of the front cabins, which are well placed to take in the lovely views. The cabin was clean and well laid out. The bathroom was big, even though the cabin was compact. We had a lovely relaxing stay here. Two things that were disappointing were the bed, which was sagging and in obvious need of replacement. The other was the bathroom linen, which was rough and poor quality, not what should be found in premises which charge top dollar. We found the accommodation way overpriced at $570 for two nights considering the bed and linen.

We have stayed at Anglesea Lodge several times over many years. We have just stayed again for two nights in a Waterfront Cabin (Number 2).
Over time we have used both the two bedroom cabins (not overlooking the water) and the single bedroom cabins that look straight out onto Currambene Creek and towards the Bay.
If you choose one of the Cabins looking directly out on to the water this is an Excellent location (as per my rating). If you are in one of the cabins behind then Anglesea is average to very good depending on the rate on offer.
For us it is all about the view in this quiet tucked away corner of Huskisson. See pictures of that view, from two separate visits, attached. We have also found all the cabins clean and tidy and my sense is that they get variously upgraded over time. A couple of years ago we had Cabin 1 and it was fine. This time we had Cabin 2 and it was very smart and modern throughout.
There is free WiFi and also a small safe in the rooms. There is also a small and smart swimming pool, tho we have never used it, preferring the beaches of the Bay.
As one other reviewer has noted, you park your car up near the reception area and there is quite a steep paved drive down to the cabins. This could be an issue for people whose mobility is restricted. The shower in Cabin 2, and I think the others (check), is a shower over the bath arrangement which can also be an issue for those with limited mobility.
We paid $265 per night direct to Anglesea, which equalled best rates through other sites. At that price the waterside cabins are I believe good value for money.

I stayed in the Budget cabin with my husband and two kids. It was not right on the water but had a lovely view of it from the living area. It was nice to fish of the little jetty and the kids loved the pool and the cubby house.
The budget cabin has not been renovated like the others which suited me fine- it had a proper beach shack feel to it due to this. It was clean and air conditioned. A find posh a bit too intimidating to relax and this felt like your were staying at grandpas shack.
The location is ten out of ten. The man who showed me to my room was friendly and nice. The have a cool Labrador who hangs about.

Loved our 2 nights in a waterfront cabin. The view was stunning you could lie in bed and just look across at the boats in the water, the ducks, geese and water birds, it was so relaxing. Cabin well finished with tasteful crockery, bathroom ammenities. You could swim off jetty to beach across the lagoon. Great friendly service from Mark. Walking distance to town. Very pleased overall.

We had four nights here, the location on the water is beautiful, we had a waterfront cabin which had everything we needed. We had issues with the wifi, however, this seems to be an issue with the service to the town and not the owners fault. The owner was very helpful each time I contacted him. We enjoyed a morning chat to the owners American Labrador Odi each morning, whilst he was in his backyard.
