The cocktails and the bar were in a fantastic location. Unfortunately the temperature of the place was very cold, with fans at full bore despite it being a cooler than usual Summer weekend. The staff were fantastic though and did turn the fans off when requested.

We ordered the $95 Smoked Pavillion platter - it sounded good. However it was very disappointing.
The brisket while tasty, was cold, the chicken wings undercooked, the slaw had no dressing (basically just shredded cabbage), and there was 1 sausage and 1 small mac & cheese for two people.
Full credit to the hospitality staff though, they listened to our feedback and issues and we were given a full refund.

With such a good location, and great staff, it is a shame that the food let you down.

Great location in town and close to the beach. Room was clean and the staff was helpful. And, our room #5 had a walkout balcony with a view of the bay. But the deck is shared by 3 rooms so the windows of our room were frosted for privacy giving us zero view outside. Our room shared a short hallway with 4 other rooms so we heard doors opening and closing as guests came and went.

Would not stay in this cave again.

Amazing location, centrally located in the township, good range of drinks, but food is expensive and poor quality (for a hotel).
Had a hamburger at the local fish and chip shop previously and it killed the pubs plastic tasting burger! Find somewhere else to eat!!

Whole place is in a very convenient spot with free parking included in our overnight stay (plus 2 drinks). Room was as it shows in the photo's, clean, comfortable & with a shared balcony, we were the only ones using it on Saturday & Sunday late afternoon as we listened to the live music in our own space (summer school holidays were still in full swing so, very busy but no problem). Our full plate of ribs, for lunch Sunday, were delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we found it to be a great little escape.

The last time I was here it was called The Husky Pub, so its been a while. Renovated in 2011 it has a good range of modern Australian food, like salt and pepper squid, presented nicely. We found it busy even on a Monday night but service was prompt. The $25 steak with mash and broccolini was substantial and done perfectly. It came with a house wine or range of beers as part of the deal, so pretty good value. Their garlic bread was four big triangles and well -flavoured. My husband's chicken parmigiana was also a good sized helping and great flavour. Worth a visit.

Not sure it gets worse than the Husky. We booked for 6 people and whilst our table was ready when we arrived we had to line up for some time to get a drink. Ok, so it was busy. We lined up again to order our meals and the sign at the bistro said there is currently a 30 minute wait. Ok, still busy.

We sat back down and waited. The room was incredibly noisy and the oldies couldn’t hear anything. I enquired where the meals were at the 50 minute mark and they said they were next on the list.

The buzzer went off 1 hour and 10 minutes after our order and then we lined up to collect them.

The seafood platter for two was terrible. The calamari was like rubber bands the chips were soggy and the oysters had been warmed to room temperature by the lights. Others had cold burgers, cold muscles, the only dish that was acceptable was a cold poke bowl.

The staff seem overwhelmed at the husky. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

We initially went to the Huskisson for dinner but quickly changed our mind after our encounter with the staff and one drink. My husband's preferred drink is a black Russian. We had been traveling in Australia for two weeks and from Sydney to Cairns to Jervis Bay some bartenders did not know how to make a black russian so we asked if they knew how to make one and the bartender stated of course I do it is Kahlua, vodka and coke. We informed her that there is no coke in a black russian she informed us they could not make it without the coke because they are not allowed to sell shots and that would be a double shot. She said she could ask her manager. The young lady that then came to speak with us very abruptly informed us we were wrong and black russians always have coke in them and they don't allow shots because people get too drunk and out of hand. Funny my husband has been drinking them for forty years, but we are wrong (not!). Then she proceeded to make comments to the other workers and acted like we were stupid. From the previous reviews I also noted they only serve glasses of wine and not bottles after 6 pm. It appears they have a lot of problems with people drinking to much I wonder what the number of beers you are allowed to have in a night is?

We did have two mixed drinks that were horrible and expensive for only having a splash of alcohol in them.

Definitely not a good place to go for drinks. Does have a nice view from the deck.

Visited here on 10th January on road trip of southern nsw. Our room was fine but food experience was dreadful. There was no separate service for those in accommodation at Hotel. The place was very busy you order and pay for food but only on looking at receipt does it tell you time of wait. I was buzzed once, mistake sorry wrong number. Second time again wrong number but girl tried to resolve and said four to five minutes. We ordered the chicken parmigiana which was dreadfull and only ate tiny portion of each before leaving. The hotel was in a lovely setting and that was about it.

TmAbsolute Rip Off,
Ordered Guacamole Share plate. It was literally a bowl of corn chips with about 2 teaspoons of Avocado and 2 top of Tomato @ $14.
Also ordered the Fish and chips. It was so greasy, and chips were horrible. Had better at most fish and chip ships.
And finally, waiting staff try to take your plate away when clearly still eating.
I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place. I've had much better food elsewhere.
So sad when a venue thinks they can rip off visitors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at the Huskisson Hotel
Our room was spotlessly clean and we had a nice view out
our window (Rm 2)
The little added extras were very much appreciated, such
as tea making facilities, toiletries, etc. and lovely linen.
Restaurant on site is a bonus for those not wishing to venture
far.
Nice eating areas, with views inside and out.
There are steps to the rooms which would not suit those with mobility
Problems.
Parking is on site. Checkin is easy.
Particularly nice staff.
We will certainly return on our next visit south.

Sorry I don’t know. We walked in with no reservation. It is a large area, we had no problems getting a table.
