What a lovely time we had at this Resort. The rooms was SPOTLESS, beds were very very comfortable and close to Jamberoo Water Park and 12 minutes away from Kiama. The Pool was kept clean every day and they even had cleaning utensils and wipes to clean the BBQ facilities which they provided. Shame others who used bbq did not clean up after themselves. There were 4 bbq facilities with ample seating that was close to park equipment. All the equipment was clean and not dingy at all. The staff who ran the resort were very helpful and friendly - I would def stay again as got Kids off wifi (only works around pool) and had family time in the room. Being so close to Kiama and Water Park it's a little gem - I do recommend Jamberoo Village Bakery as well and their Butcher.

Driving in to the resort (retreat is a more honest description) we felt relaxed by the huge trees and myriad vegetation. It is nestled in the valley surrounded by majestic ranges.
Check in was quick and easy. Parking was directly outside our room.
The rooms are comfortable, tv worked and the shower and bathroom had plentiful soap, shampoo and bath gel in pump bottles.
We asked for and received a ground floor unit across from a beautiful 25m pool. Enjoyed reading on our little veranda and going for a dip every so often.
Loved the swings near the pool and scattered around the retreat. Great playground for kids and even some plastic exercise equipment for those inclined. There's also a tennis court and an indoor games room.
There is a bbq area but no camp kitchen. Both mornings they were were quite dirty from the night before and bins overflowing.
We're not really into vegetarian meals so ate in Jamberoo both nights. A warning in eating at the pub - it closes at 7pm. The other option is Club Jamberoo which has a selection of western meals and an extensive delicious Asian menu. There's an IGA, a news agency, bakery and cafe and only 10kms from the retreat.
And so close to several amazing nature walks and sites.
We're definitely going back again, maybe next month.

Our family of 5 stayed for a weekend and had a blast. The resort's setting is lovely, huge pool and grounds which meant the kids had a great time. The included buffet breakfast is great value also - and the hosts made sure everyone had everything they needed.

I think a lot of the reviews here are petty and unfair. Whilst the resort (like all Australian motels) is a little dated (built in the 80's) - the rooms are all refurbished, spotlessly clean and the bedding new and really comfortable. It's a relaxing place - and great value when you combine it with the pass to Jamberoo Action Park.

My family stayed for 3 nights so we could experience Jamberoo water park. Although not modern it was peaceful and relaxing.
We liked the pool area, spa , sauna area. It was great to sit on our little verandah and see the kids in the pool area definitely. We feel like the cost for 3 nights was a little extreme as to what service was received and amenities available.
We didn’t have any cutlery or a toaster in our room to make ourselves a simple breakfast this would be okay if the on-site restaurant was family friendly , the cereal offered was past its best by date and not a great deal offered for young families it was vegan only and the breakfast wasn’t really what we enjoyed. Our first night no soap was in the shower. Under the beds was very dusty. Beds were not super comfortable.
Being able to check in and out of your room using an electronic keypad was great.
I really think our bathroom needed a good clean there was a little mould in the shower.
Internet was a not great but in all honesty it wasn’t that big of a deal it was a nice relaxing place. But without the pool I don’t think our kids would have enjoyed as much.
Would only stay if we were heading back to jamberoo but there looked like some great places in Kiama too which is only a shirt drive and we seemed to drive there most days to eat.
Such a gem that is not used to the best potential.
A few things around the site were left broken like pool chairs around the pool area .
Great if your looking for one or two max nights but I wouldn’t book if we were looking for an amazing holiday experience on site if you didn’t plan to leave the resort to do other things.

Stayed one night during the December holidays. Place was okay, no complaints there.

Two hours after checking out, I realised I left my watch in the room. I rang the place; no one answered so I left voice message (which room, my contact details etc). Called one more time, directed to voicemail again and left another message. Later in the day, I sent an email. The following day, called the place and spoke to someone; they advised the cleaners did not turn over anything. I mentioned where I left the watch and that it was not easily seen and asked if they can check the room. They said they will check the room again and would call back (but didnt call). I called again the following day, and got advised that they are checking with the cleaners' supervisor and will call back; again no call back.

Two weeks after the incident, no return call, no response to my email. The value of the watch was more sentimental than material; and I am not after compensation and accept that the loss is my fault. At the very least, I would have appreciated a response to my email or a return phone call.

My girl friend and I stayed at Jamberoo Resort on the 11th & 12th of January 2020. We knew it was the right choice just driving there, the countryside is beautiful. I felt even better when I went to reception to book in, the lady at the front desk was so friendly and helpful.

The room was incredible. We stayed in room 101 and it looked brand new. The bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. My girlfriend had a snooze while I walked around the area. It was so quiet and peaceful.

There is a large pool and plenty of activities for the kids, The barbecue area is great and very clean so we felt comfortable to cook a great meal and sit under the shade to eat and have a bottle of wine. We sat there for a couple of hours just talking, eating and drinking the wine,. What more could you ask for?

On Sunday we went to Kiama and luckily there were markets stalls on the seafront park (they have them once a month) and we bought some great things. Many of the items are made by the stall holders but I also bought a lovely Panama Hat. Later we visited Robertson, another great little village with an amazing and very large knick knack shop. My girlfriend bought a beautiful dress (well she chose it :-) ) and I got some essential oils but there were so many things to buy, you could spend a day in there. The cafe next door is great as well.

All in all, it was the perfect weekend and we will definitely go back.I can't think of one bad thing to say about Jamberoo, even the breakfast in the cafeteria was good and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly.

Finally, it is a great place to go if you have kids but also a wonderful retreat for anyone who just wants a quiet place in the country to rest and relax. I can't say thank you enough to the staff for making our weekend so relaxing. You have to experience it to know what I mean.

This place is great for kids. The grounds are nice and the pool, spa, sauna and bbq area are clean. The rooms are average but clean. And it is close to a lot of points of interest, however, we had a few issues on our stay: They advertise wifi, but when we arrived we were advised that their wifi wasn’t working and hadn’t been for weeks. This wouldn’t be the biggest drama in the world if they at least had basic reception on the grounds but they don’t. Also we were advised on check in that they only have a vegan restaurant. Not great for us. Only great for the 2% of the population that is actually vegan. We also didn’t have a great sleep as they leave giant fog lights on all night facing directly into the rooms. Not even the curtains block out the light from them.

At first, I booked a family room for 2 nights for the price of $779, later I cancelled that booking, and booked the luxury room for $950. When we arrived and checked in to the luxury room, we found the toilet was broken and can't be used. So the staff agreed to change room for us. The only other luxury room has already been booked so he changed us to a family room. That staff and me checked the price of the family room together and it was $646 (that was possibly due to last minute discount, and I took a screenshot of that price) and he said since I paid $950, they will refund us $300. I agreed. And he said he was busy and told me to come back the next day he will process the refund for me.

We checked in to the place on Saturday, so on Sunday, I went to the reception area again and asked the staff to do the refund. He said since it is Sunday their refund process is not working and he asked me to come back on Monday (we were leaving on Monday) when we checked out and he will do the refund for us. He seems very friendly and also very helpful so I did not have any single doubt about what he said. I said ok we can do this on Monday before I check out. No rush.

But that was the last time I saw that staff. On Monday, I went to the reception area many times try to get the refund done. No one was there. At the end, we just left without speaking to anyone. (The family room is opened by passcode, so no key is required)

After we arrived home, I started chasing this refund. Everytime when I called them, someone will answer the phone. Whoever is on the phone always sounds very polite and asked me what happened, saying he/she was not aware of this and he/she would promise that he/she would chase this for me to get this fixed, and saying he/she would call me back.

I can't remember how many phone calls I have made in regards to this. I have to repeat this again and again. And after numerous phones calls, emails etc, they finally refunded $119 to me. Saying from their end, that is the price difference. We sent them email again, I sent them my previous booking record of $779, and the same day price screenshot of $646 ( this is the one their staff saw and agreed to refund $300). No response. We have not got the remaining amount.

I stayed in that place for 2 nights ( 8 January and 9 January). The location is good, the surrounding is good too. The staff, I thought they are polite and helpful. But now I am not so sure.

Location: It is just off the main road but was hidden in the woods. An absolute hidden gem! Love the location! Very quiet and peaceful surrounded by trees and creek. Very close to Illawara Fly, Carrington Falls, Fitzroy Falls, and Kiama beach.

Room: we stayed in the VIP room. It is beautiful with a jacuzzi bath and beautiful funitures. The bed is very comfortable with very quiet air conditioning systems. Parking just in front of your room. Very convenient.

Facilities/ amenities: it is very well thought with huge swimming pool(with safe fence for children) , sauna, jacuzzi, playground, tennis court, pingpong table, bbq facility, plenty of couches and benches around the pool and in the woods. Huge space in the restaurant and very peaceful atmosphere.

Staff: the reception staffs, the chef and catering/ cleaning staffs are all very friendly and tried their best to help you. They all smile. They make special effort to meet your needs, such as if you need to check out late, if you need an extra chair, etc. The food is delicious and very authentic. They cook the breakfast for you - delicious and artistically presented.

Had such a good stay! The staffs are so lovely! Will never forget their smiles!

My family and I book here every year. This year we were met with a serious of unpleasant incidents and will never book here again.
1. We were charged more than quoted
2. We were met with a cold reception from Donna
3. We had breakfast vouchers that were not honoured
4. My 11 year old daughter queried if breakfast was open, Donna told her that breakfast would not be supplied due to us making a fuss about it
5. They canceled one of our family's rooms without our knowledge
