We had a wonderful time here. It was an absolute treat to be entertained by Lindy's stories about the area including the one about Larry the llama and Louise the pig. The home is decorated with beautiful furniture, pictures and pieces collected over a lifetime which are all on display and lovingly shared with guests. Our rooms were extremely comfortable, with a beautiful porch outside where you could read, or in my case knit, surrounded by beautiful gardens and feeling as though you were a million miles from anywhere. The breakfast cooked by David was absolutely delicious and we would highly recommend this B and B to anyone looking for a perfect stay in Kangaroo Valley.

My wife and I had a lovely night at the Laurels just after heavy rain put out the worst of the bushfires around Kangaroo Valley. Our stay was lovely in a very comfortable room opening onto the verandah with cows grazing peacefully in the adjoining field. Very bucolic and typical of Kangaroo Valley. Both the Laurels and Kangaroo Valley are highly recommended.

David and Lindy are the hosts at this exquisite B and B set in the beautiful Kangaroo Valley. Their attention to detail, the warmth of their company, the beautiful detailing in every room of this homely B&B made the time in this beautiful location even more memorable. And the breakfasts ... outstanding. Thank you

The property is beautifully decorated and full of character. The gardens are lovely to explore - you can see the peaceful landscape of the valley and if you're lucky a few kangaroos! Lindy and David were wonderful and welcoming hosts. Lindy had many stories to tell and has great recomendations and David cooked a delicious breakfast. The wine and cheese are a nice touch and provides an opportunity to chat with the hosts and other guests. The Laurels is a really special stay!

Just had 2 nights at The Laurels and enjoyed it tremendously. From the wonderful Lindy and David to the beautiful house and gardens everything was splendid. Our accomodation was in a beautifully furnished suite with a very comfortable king size bed and a shower that had real oomph. Gorgeous antique furniture lovingly collected by our hosts.
The dining room and sitting room are beautiful, lovely log fires and delicious breakfasts and very generous wine and cheese plus at 5.30 every night.
David’s perfumed roses are a sight to behold.
We can’t wait to stay there again.

The title should say everything. This was the best B&B we have ever stayed in. If you are in the area, please do yourself a favour and book in with Lindy and David.

They are the most engaging and knowledgeable hosts. The 5pm cheese and delicious South Australia wine is a fantastic touch, David’s cooked breakfast exactly what is needed to fortify ahead of a day of walking and kayaking in this beautiful part of NSW.

Beyond the above, waking up to see the Kangaroos grazing in the morning mist on Lindy and David’s ‘back yard’ will live with us for ever.

Sadly we are leaving Australia this week and we have no idea when we will return. When we do, we will head straight for The Laurels!!

The Laurels was a great country escape - Lindy was the perfect host. We enjoyed chatting with her and other guests for wine and cheese, as well as during breakfast. We also enjoyed exploring the garden on the property and just relaxing in our room. It's a short drive to town for restaurants and also an easy drive to nearby bushwalks.

We spent two nights experiencing hospitality that was better then exceptional. Having visited many B&Bs over the years throughout the work, "The Laurels" was by far the most genuine and professionally delivered.
Linda and David not only warmly welcomed us with enthusiasm with family like hospitality but continued throughout the duration of our stay. There attention to detail was meticulously presented in all respects. This also include thorough local knowledge as well as worldly experienced conversation.
Outstanding functions included the wine and cheese served at 5.30PM each evening in the drawing room with all guest present together. This was abundantly accompanied with with relaxed conversation initially introduced by Linda which felt much like a relaxed family gathering.
The breakfasts was a cumulative experience of superb culinary art created by David and attentively presented by Linda.
Our room was well appointed, appropriately sized, notably a comfortable bed ensuring a comforting quiet sleep. The on-suite was extremely clean and well ventilated.
There were also many thoughtful extras accompanying the provision of tea and coffee.
"The Laurels" provide elegant old fashion service and hospitality.
In the surrounds , the perfume of the magnificent roses and other varieties of colorful flowers that were blooming at this period of the year made ambling around the gardens an uplifting experience.
"The Laurels" is highly recommended as a destination to enjoy Kangaroo Valley which is located about 2 hours car travel south of Sydney New South Wales Australia.
We look forwad to our return visit.

I stayed at The Laurels for a birthday weekend with some friends and family and it was a sublime wonderful experience. David and Lindy were so caring and helped me with so many requests putting together the weekend. They were attentive to every detail: emailing about how to enter the valley after the recent land slips and road damage; providing their dining room and cutlery for a private dinner even though it was extra work for them; allowing mobile masseuses to be brought on site; providing wine and a delectable nibbles platter every night; and of course the delicious breakfasts cooked by David every morning. It was just SO NICE, I didn’t want to go home.

What a gem the Laurels is - a beautiful historic house surrounded by rambling private gardens and beautiful pastoral land. The interior is a collectors dream with incredible antiques and interesting furnishings throughout. Hosts Lindy and David truly spoil their guests with wine and snacks in the room, a complementary wine and cheese cocktail hour and an incredible cooked breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. This is definitely a hidden gem.
