Stayed 2 nights for a wedding in cabin 12. The cabin was well appointed with a large kitchen and all the gadgets we could need for a comfortable stay including a full sized fridge.

It will be a challenge to locate the cabin the first time especially if you arrive at night. It is about 5km off the main road through the valley. Once inside it is cosy but has way too many signs for everything.

We still enjoyed our stay which was really like a cabin in a caravan park. We really objected to the $40 fee per large bed ($25 for single/bunk) if you wanted sheets and towels. This can really add up and should be inclusive in the asking tariff. It's not made clear in the initial booking and the cabin it not cheap without that fee. Who wants to be making beds when they arrive at a place?

Our groups third visit to this great golf course. Booked a two night midweek package for 6 couples. The cabins were clean and comfortable with everything you need, self catering so one needs to take all supplies with you. A couple of our party had a few minor issues with their accommodation but these were quickly resolved, my only isdue was that the water pressure was low. The cabins , that we had, were low on the course so the views were limited the villas higher up the mountain have some awesome views.
The staff were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The golf course is challenging but offers some great views. The fairways are wide and the greens run true. Quite a lot of water to avoid but this course should be on everyone's bucket list.

Hello there H9919IFjohnw, Firstly, thank you for the four bubble review on TripAdvisor; it's these reviews that make us smile. Sorry to hear that the water pressure wasn't first class. Not sure if you know this, but aren't connected to town water, and entirely rely on the water stored in our dams which run on a gravity-fed system. This can explain the low pressure, which can be quite the culture shock if you come from a major city! Glad to hear that the minor issues were resolved and the staff were able to look after you. Thanks for recognising them. The villas higher up indeed have a different view to those lower down, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? Especially if you're on the deck, watching your mates try and tackle the challenging course. That can be worth a giggle or two. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us, it's always so lovely to hear from people that have recently stayed. Please, come back and see us real soon.

The setting is fabulous, the staff are good, the facilities are ok-ish. The problem, I think, is that the resort somewhat over sells and under delivers. For example, the restaurant is only open 2 nights per week, there is no bar, there is no wifi in the cottages and the interior of the one we stayed in was very dated. This evening we are staying in a motel for about 1/3rd of the price of this place and we are very happy with it because it sells itself accurately. It’s a shame. Had our expectations been managed a bit more accurately we probably would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Booked direct online as a couple. Only available was 2 bed cabin for $225 p.n. And this was a Monday and Tuesday night. Maybe ringing direct might give better results.
First offered #5 which might be ok for a cheap sleeping place for 4 singles!! Including 2 bar fridges. Yes it had a nice location and view from the deck. All windows were locked shut and it was stuffy.
I asked politely and was then offered #28 ( thank you) which was much bigger and nicer ( and a different category)but still not what we would expect at a ‘Golf retreat’.
It would seem there is a huge variation in the accomodation available due to private ownership. The booking websites seem to have a variety too but maybe you have more chance of being happy if the photos are true.
We also felt one person ( who did their best) to be receptionist, telephonist and golf pro was not efficient/good and not Covid friendly ( queues in a small area)
Note- take drinking water. What comes out of the tap smells and tastes very strongly of hydrogen sulphide!
Too many variables for us to return or recommend .

Our group of 4 recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend of Golf at Kangaroo Valley Golf and Country Retreat. The course is spectacular and unlike any other I have played. The course winds up and down over the range, challenging but loads of fun. We stayed in a deluxe villa and it was a home away from home! Spotlessly clean, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipt kitchen, modern and comfortable furnishings. Our favorite place was the deck overlooking the course where we enjoyed an afternoon drink watching others tackle the 14th hole. The restaurant offered a great variety of dishes and they were all delicious. All the staff were helpful, very friendly and welcoming. Grab a group of friends and enjoy a fabulous weekend - oh and take your clubs, the course is awesome.

We booked 1 bedroom cabin for 2 nights for 2 adults and one toddler.
Only 2 towels provided, external lights didn’t work which made it unsafe to unload the car. The dining room was very sticky, we wiped it multiple time but that didn’t help, some cutlery and plates were dirty, kitchen window had spider web
Very disappointed with the cleanliness and the experience.
It is unfortunate because we stayed there in 2020 and loved it.

Played golf with friends and stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom deluxe villa as part of the 'midweek quickie package'. Great and comfortable villa. Spacious living area with deck on to the beautiful golf course and regularly visited by king parrots. Villa well set out, excellent equipped kitchen, good heating + bed linens (although king sized beds are very firm and could do with mattress toppers). Loved our stay and will stay again.

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin no 37 for 2 nights. Free parking on site. The cabin
was spacious with a separate bedroom & lounge room. Well equipped kitchen facilities
plus iron & ironing board. Great bush views from the balcony & quiet location.
No room service but that didn’t worry us. Free Wi Fi only in reception area but not the
cabin which was disappointing. The furniture was a bit dated & there was a broken blind, dripping taps & a very noisy fridge. All staff were friendly & pleasant . The
resort is 4 kms from Kangaroo Valley with cafes & restaurants. Location, bush
views & solitude warrant 4 stars but unfortunately the cabin interior which requires
updating rates 3 stars.

Hi afong138, Thanks so much for your review of one of our standard one-bedroom cabins. We're sorry to hear that they didn't live up to your expectation. As we are a large property, room service would be impractical, and the lack of wifi comes down to the sheer size of our grounds (the big gum trees don't help either!) Dated furniture? How could you not love a quick blast back to the past? Thanks for your observation though, we'll keep it in mind. Happy with the three-star rating for our standard cabins, it's why we like to refer to them as "rustic" and "original". Hope to have you back soon so you can enjoy the surroundings and tranquillity once again.

We booked a cabin through air bnb and found the Kangaroo valley golf and country retreat such a beautiful location. Nestled in a green golf course and bush surrounds you can guarantee to see plenty of kangaroos and wombats. There was a pool, tennis courts, giant chess set and volleyball so kids have lots to do outside.
The town is a short drive and a good pub for food. The golf course is awesome and challenging and carts for hire.

We were a group of 4 who spent the Australia Day long weekend playing golf at the Kangaroo Valley golf & country resort. We had a lovely 2 bedroom deluxe cabin overlooking the golf course. The cabin had everything in it that we needed to cook our dinners. We ate in 2 nights and had a delicious dinner at the restaurant 1 night. The cabin was very comfortable with a lovely verandah to sit on and watch other golfers & wildlife! The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. They even let us unload our gear before teeing off, as there wasn't anyone in our cabin the previous night. The golf course can be challenging, but the views are beautiful! You can enjoy a cold drink at the pro shop after your round & watch others play out the 18th. An absolutely awesome weekend, we can't wait to go back!

Hello Lyn G, You little ripper. What a review to receive from a guest. Thank you so much for taking the time to sit down and write this. It means the world to us. Our Australia Day long weekend is always fun, especially if you enter the photo competition. Did you get a chance? If not, come back next year and try your hand it. We generally give away a deluxe weekend. Just imagine the fun you and your friends could have if you win, not to mention the giggles on the deck with a cold glass of wine or beer. Thanks again for the big 5-stars!
