We booked Kiama at short notice and found it slim pickings for accomodation late on a Saturday afternoon. Must admit we were a little underwhelmed by the exterior but we were amazed by the rooms. Quite modern and very clean with a renovated bathroom. The bed was so comfy we took a photo of the brand. The building looked vaguely familiar and I think I may have stayed with my Grandparents over 40 years ago which if true is a nice piece of nostalgia

Kiama is a wonderful small town in an idyllic setting, and this motel is perfectly placed in a quiet location in the centre of the town and near the water. Prices are not cheap, as a number of motels in Kiama have recently been closed and converted to apartments, so supply is very limited. The rooms are spacious and well furnished and apparently recently renovated, with a balcony, and with all the usual Aussie facilities, like kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, air conditioning, tea and coffee making, etc. The motel has a nice swimming pool as well. We only have one complaint. After staying here for two nights, we asked the reception (owner..??) if we could stay a bit longer than the very unfriendly 10 am check out. We got the reluctant answer that we could possibly stay till 10.30… I find this completely unreasonable and extremely poor guest relations. On the day (Monday) the motel was far from full. Also, all rooms do not get cleaned immediately at 10 am, so there is always plenty of scope to allow a few guests to stay a bit longer without interfering with room se rvice, especially as many guests do leave early. Trying to make your guests feel happy and welcome at no cost or inconvenience to yourself should be the number one rule in hospitality, and on that score, this motel failed the test.

Great stay. Central location and being out the back (overlooking the car park) meant less street noise. Comfy bed and we slept very well. Lovely staff. Well equipped room. It was very clean and looked like it had recently been refurbished. We would definitely stay again.

Great location. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Rooms are very clean & well maintained. Stayed in a king room with patio on level one (room 101) which faced the road & overlooked the pool area. This room had a kitchenette which was very convenient. Bed was very comfortable with plenty of room in the bathroom. Would recommend.

WOW WOW , Having been a past resident of Kiama for over 10 years and back very regularly to visit family and usually staying at the Sebel :- save your cash, the Sebel simply doesn’t stack up to Kiama Shores in terms of comforts versus dollars spent :- after all the Sebel is pretty much a bunch privately owned apartments ( like Body / Owners Corp ) and the rooms are very hit and miss depending on the owners attitude to travellers hey. The refurbishment at Kiama Shores is simply sensational. Room are extremely well renovated, the King Koil beds with 2 x layers of added toppers are next level in terms of sleep - and hey, that’s what hotels are selling :- sleep !! Plenty of eateries and independent bars ( not in house hotel bars ) made the experience just that little bit more special given it was pouring rain and we were glad not to be “confined” to the four walls of a typical hotel. Hats off to the owners of the Kiama Shores property to renovate and invest - huge fan and will be back every time I’m in town!

What a great find in Kiama! Newly renovated and very comfortable rooms. Great staff, especially Gus and his wife who went above and beyond what was expected to make sure the streaming services would work in our room! Close to everything in Kiama. Looking forward to our return trip.
