I stayed in a 'Superior Suite - Ocean View' for two nights to attend a wedding locally.
Less expensive rooms all had showers over tubs & I wanted a bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The room was meticulously clean & the entire property was very well maintained even after what seemed like weeks of rain without a break.
The venue doesn't have lifts though the person in reception when I arrived was very happy to help me with my luggage.
The bed was very comfortable, linen was of good quality.
Every staff member I encountered was professional, courteous & eager to assist. I had breakfast in my room both days at a very reasonable price.
I forgot to take photos before I unpacked but will upload the ones I took just after.

This motel is ideally located by the surf beach at Mollymook with good eating options across the road at the Mollymook Golf Club and the Beach Hut Cafe. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are welcoming and attentive to your needs.
We were given a room with balcony looking over the ocean although we had paid for the cheaper rooms, so that was a great surprise to get superb water views from the lounge area and balcony. This is a great place to stay and very relaxing - highly recommend.

We rang the lovely Maria and she was able to give us a great room on the upper floor with water views. The room was clean, comfortable and with a modern bathroom. The motel is only a few minutes from the beach and across the road from the Mollymook Golf Club, which has reasonably priced and delicious meals as well as water views. For breakfast, we went to the Beach Hut cafe which is at the beach. In short, we loved our stay and are already planning when we can go back. Thanks Maria and the team!

This is our 2nd stay here. In February we were upgraded to an upstairs 2 bedroom apartment with full kitchen. Last eeek we were lucky to get the last room. Advertised as a twin room but it actually had a double bed separated by the bathroom and kitchenette. The front room had a single bed, lounge, 2 seater table and opened out onto a small patio with table and chairs and a view all the way up to the far end of the beach. Room was clean, modern, bathroom though aging was clean. Well equipped kitchenette and mini bar. 2 tvs. Had a dip in the pool. It was clean but they could definately to with some new sun lounges. Couple at the front desk very welcoming. Golf club across the street with a nice restaurant and unbroken view of the beach. Ate at the cafe next to the surf club. Can't ask for a better view with your hamburger. Drove the 5 mins up the Bannisters Pool Bar for a cocktail and nibblies while listening to a solo guitarist on the deck. Mollymook is our new escape destination.

Booked this motel directly over the phone 16 days prior to arrival and paid upfront. We had a missed call at 7.05pm the night before we were booked to arrive, then spoke to the hotel the morning of arrival. They advised they had a large party of people book through Bookings.com and therefore they did not have a room for us anymore as they had overbooked!! Thank you so much for finding us accommodation at the Surf Beach Motel. The Managers there were lovely, loyal and accommodating!
We will be expecting our full refund shortly.

I agree with “kjfer” that this is clean basic accomodation. I noticed another review by “BooandGinger” who titled their review “Refurbished “ and gave the motel 5 stars. Our room certainly was not five stars, nor refurbished. The bed had an uncomfortable dip in the middle, the sort of thing that older beds acquire. The bathroom was clean, but dated, the bath was tiny with a shower over the bath.
The room was spacious but I would not describe it as comfortable. The sofas in the lounge were not the sort of thing you could sit in for extended periods - they were cheap and hard.
Perhaps we should have asked about refurbished rooms and requested one of these.
Unless there are rooms with significant refurbishment, we would be reluctant to return.

We picked this place at random and were glad we did.
Room was more like a mini apartment than a motel room and looked like it had recently been redone.
TVs in lounge and bedroom with basic Foxtel, a minibar and daily servicing was just the start.
The couple who manage it were very cool and most helpful.
Location is perfect being across the road from the club and beach.
Fantastic value for money.
I’d stay there again and would recommend people check it out. I’m not sure the online photos do it justice.

The room we had had a beautiful view of the water and a small balcony, ideal for the two of us.
We sat out in the sun on a supposedly cold June day and enjoyed oysters & proseco.
The room was comfortable, had two televisions, and bedroom was separate from the living area.
Also managed to have a swim on Mollybook beach, opposite the motel and again, surprisingly, the water was warm (once in).
Enjoyed breakfast in the kiosk at the golf club overlooking the beach before our long bush walk.

Clean basic accommodation. We stayed on ground floor in a very dark room. Thought accommodation was over priced as we didn't have water view. Cleaned the pool ourselves before taking a swim. Shower over bath was very dated.

We booked a stay here after having to cut our stay at Mollymook Tourist Park short due to a filthy room and disgraceful service. Our sprits were quite down after a tumultuous 24 hours at the Caravan Park. However when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with amazing, friendly service, a clean room with great views and an awesome location! Would recommend!
