I enjoyed the stay the location is great as is the golf course. The staff are pleasant and helpful to a point. The prices are reasonable however the building is old and tired needs updating. Having stated the above the rooms are clean and comfortable. The evening menu is a little limited.

Well kept place with that yester-year charm about it. Nice leafy location. The place has bar and restaurang on premise, pool room and out door area. Out room was nice and clean albeit on the small side.

Reception staff not friendly or forthcoming with information regarding our 3 night stay to attend the golf school. Handed an itinerary which could have been emailed to us so that we were aware that we could play a social game of golf from 3-5pm that day. Not advised that we could lock our clubs in the garage each day. Food...

Dormie House is an old and somewhat tired guesthouse with a quaint feel to it. We did a 3 night/2 day golf clinic, all meals included for a very reasonable price. The meals were great (except Day 1 when a substitute chef was in), the Moss Vale Golf Club is lovely and the course was in good condition. Golf tuition...

My husband and I were invited to have dinner here one evening with relatives. The main course which was salmon fillet on potato mash was acceptable however was surrounded by a rather large and unnecessary pool of butter. My main problem was with dessert which was the well known Sticky Date Pudding. The base of the pudding was burnt black...

Stayed here for non-golf reason. The building is old and charming. Rooms have tea/coffee, ensuite, TV etc. Heating is automatic piped to radiator but can be turned off. Ceiling fan, bedside table both sides with reading lights. There is free wifi but I found it slow & unreliable. The double bed is 2 singles pushed together but there was no...

I stayed here recently with a group of friends with a deal which included accommodation, breakfast a 3 course dinner and 2 rounds of golf. I noted previous comments made mention of Dormie house being in need of TLC and being rundown. I feel these comments are way off the mark, it's exactly as one would expect from a guest...

This was a comfortable, if somewhat pricey, hotel with great views over a golf course. The room was warm (it was winter) and clean. The service was OK but not overly conspicuous. We didn't eat at the restaurant which had a dress code. The free Wi-Fi was not available in the rooms.

Just spent 3 days at Dormie with an elderly Bridge group, accomodation is clean and value for money. The ambience is very rustic and country type living but set in the wonderful location of Moss Vale Golf Club.Whilst June is a cold month in the Highlands ,Dormie House is a warm welcoming place to visit with wonderful and helpful staff who go...

Go up to the Dormie House every month for a fly fishing club meeting, we have dinner here and it is delicious as they have homemade bread and the steak is to die for. The rooms are very relaxed and quiet and a ideal place for a weekend getaway in a peaceful place.
