Peak hill Caravan Park is located between Dubbo and Parkes and provides cabins and huge drive through van sites for a night stopover. The handy location is within a few minutes’ walk into town, restaurants, café’s, supermarket and the Open Cut Experience historic Gold Mine. Another free attraction (if staying in the park), is the on-site “Fossil Hut”. Housing an... More

Driving Brisbane to Albany WA and stopped here rather than Dubbo or Parkes, Peak Hill about half way between the two. We're not experienced caravaners but this is by far the best place we have stayed so far. After a long hot drive it was great to find this park, grassy, shaded, drive through bays, lovely showers etc. Leighton and... More

A friendly touch by the owners of supplying home cooked scones after you have settled in is a stand out feature. We stayed here on returning from Qld to Melbourne. The cabin was on the older side but we stayed in others in much worse condition along the way. The cabin was clean and the mattresses were as good as... More

Stayed one night when travelling back to Victoria. Owner takes you to your site, we had a grassed drive-through, and makes sure everything is okay. Special touch was when the owner came around with scones with jam and cream for everyone.

We just spent the night here it was good for the price. Bed was fine, it was a cold night but the reverse cycle kept us lovely and warm. Staff were very friendly and the little shop was quite handy. All in all a good stay.

Rang Saturday afternoon desperate for somewhere to stay from travelling from Queensland to Victoria - owners went out of their way to accommodate us even though they were pretty full. Room was lovely and clean, beds were comfortable, easy access close to highway, and the bonus was the TV with the Hawks on it winning their footy match. Will definately... More

We stayed here 2 nights & the owners were very helpfull ,especially as we were in a tent & assisted us in selecting a level dry site. It is located close to town but far enough off the main street to be reasonably quiet. We especially appreciated the the fresh scones, jam & cream that the owners provide both afternoons. The amenities... More

“For the cabins and if you have a family phone them and let them know how many people as the cabin sizes vary ... we had planned on 3 kids and 2 adults and some of the cabins were bigger. They are great people to stay with and spend the time to talk to them about the area and the history of the place. You cant go wrong !”
