We arrived on a Friday just for two nights, when we visited Jervis Bay. Even though the main entrance is on the highway, you would think you are a million miles away from everything! Loved the roughly 1.5mile drive from the highway to the bungalows - the most amazing time to spot the kangaroos, and watch them in thier little... More

We are a couple that stayed in December. Although this retreat is beautiful and relaxing there are things you need to know before you book. Firstly the cabins are a long distance off the main road in the forest meaning no lighting or no form of security or intercom when entering or exiting. There were lights that weren't working around... More

Bewong River Retreat is a lovely place for couples and those seeking peace and quiet. It is set on a huge property with most rooms overlooking a lovely little river. Although the entrance is on the Princes Highway, the bungalows are set well away so that no noise from the highway is heard at all. We stayed in the Melaleuca... More

What an awesome place to relax a massive property with a river on its perimeter. No noise and no kids although the cottages appear to be close together your privacy is almost guaranteed due to the planting of trees and the angle of each building. Waking up to see the bush and roos from your bed of a morning is... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here recently and enjoyed the place. We stayed in the Spotted Gum bungalow and everything was clean and well looked after. The room had a nautical theme which was very nice and cute. The place was private but not as private as we had thought as we can see the next bungalow from us and... More

We just had a weekend here and it was fantastic, even nicer than I thought. The property is so quiet and peaceful. All of the cabins seemed occupied but we could only hear wildlife. It was fun to see the kangaroos feeding all around the property. The spa was wonderful, pack your champagne! It was only a short drive to... More

My partner and I booked this retreat not expecting much, the photos just do not do it justice!!! The owners of this retreat are so lovely to start! The cabins are Stunning! All so carefully positioned on the river. The in room spa is super romantic and decor is just perfect! We had drinks on the deck watching the kangaroos... More

We stayed in the wonderful Malaluka cabin which is hidden away from the other cabins a bit for extra privacy. The facilities were excellent and I would definitely recommend use of the both the hot tub, and the hammock on the patio. The owners were very relaxed and welcoming - gave us an extra key when we accidentally locked ourselves... More

We had such a fantastic time at Bewong River Retreat for a hens weekend. Pamper Me from Nowra came to do 9 massages and facials and on Sunday we brought our own private Yoga teacher in to do yoga on the grassed area. Scott was ever so helpful with lighting the lovely fire on Saturday night and supplying extra blankets... More

“My partner told me he paid a bit more for a themed bungalow. Not sure how that will compare to the rest. Iron Bark is probably the closest one to the river.”
