A very special place to celebrate a very special anniversary. The beautiful location of Somewhere Unique is ever so tranquil, peaceful and very private. The retreats are welcoming, meticulously clean, very spacious and every comfort is thoughtfully provided for. The pre-ordered breakfast basket was more than ample for our two day stay, the village is close by and has a variety of resturants to chose from and we were not disappointed by any of them. Murray and David's attention to detail is to be congratulated and we would not hesitate to recommend their perfect little hideaway!

We stayed here after recommendations from our friends. We spent a 4 night long weekend here and loved every moment of it. Everything is so well thought out. Anything you think might want or need, you’ll find it! Everything is done to such high standards within the cabin and surrounds, we couldn’t fault anything. Communication is great from start to finish with Murray. Easy to navigate to from Newcastle. We loved and information folder. Lots of interesting things inside it. The gas fire place is great. Beats brining in wood all the time. We loved our stay here and can’t wait to come back.

There simply aren’t enough superlatives to describe this place. Murray and David have thought of everything. The bath was like a swimming pool that overlooks a private bush setting. The thing that makes us want to come back though is the thoughtfulness, good taste, and commitment to sustainability that is evident in how the place is presented. Strongly recommend a visit for that special weekend away.

We stayed last month for a couple of nights midweek and everything was spot on. Lots of communication leading up to our visit, easy to follow directions. Lovely personal touches like a welcome note on the door and a information folder with everything you can possibly need to know. The retreat itself is beautiful and private...the bathroom has the best bath I have ever been in, the bed is super comfy and looking out you get some of the most beautiful little birds in the trees. The breakfast hamper was more then enough for both days and the included wine was a welcome treat- we enjoyed our bottle of red sat on the deck with a blanket watching the storm. We also had a massage in the retreat which was fantastic! Getting to the village is an easy walk or car ride. we made use of the two bicycles that were at the retreat which was a great added bonus
Overall a great stay and we will be back next year!

Our stay at Somewhere Unique is one that we will fondly remember. Everything from our wonderful hosts, Nick and Julia, to our beautiful accommodation and the gorgeous surroundings made our stay truly memorable!
Unfortunately our stay was impacted by local flooding, and we couldn't visit the local attractions as planned, and our massages could not proceed, but we couldn't think of a better place to spend some quality time together and celebrate my birthday! We took advantage of the bad weather and totally relaxed and enjoyed the comforts of our amazing accommodation, along with the very generous provisions provided and the little extra touches which made our stay extra special! Our hosts ensured we had everything we needed and that we were safe and dry during the flood event.
We would thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will certainly recommend Somewhere Unique to all our friends and family, and we look forward to visiting again.

We had 3 luxurious nights in the Allawah cabin, photos do not really capture how beautiful this place is. Exactly what we needed and a beautiful place to celebrate my birthday. So peaceful, it was cool enough to enjoy the fireplace and the added special touches by Julia & Nick make the stay so welcoming. My Sister and I booked 'Somewhere Unique' as a present for our parents. Safe to say after their little getaway they couldn't recommend the place enough, I'm already looking at weekends I can make the trip down from QLD. Took my husband here for his birthday, there was a personal welcome sign at the front door, we stepped inside and was greeted with relaxing music and a wonderful clean spacious retreat. The food we had ordered was endless and delicious and Murray & David had left a birthday cake as an added extra. Spacious bedroom with high class linen, huge bathroom with the biggest bath I had ever seen. Every detail had been covered this wikk not be the last time , in fact we are taking parents back next month. Would highly recommend if you like peace & tranquility, and amazing accommodation.
