We had heard of the town and wanted to see for ourselves. Not disappointed at all! Not too touristy, and the Inn was all that it promised. Old, but pleasantly updated and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cookies are always a treat, and the...More
The rooms are very nice and updated and thankfully, not "modern". Two awesome chocolate chip cookies at checkin...cute touch! Pedestal sinks in some bathrooms and nice cabinet versions in others, fresh bathtubs and no slow drains. The elevator works nice and smooth and is not...More
Our biking group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Jim Thorpe Inn. Connie was very helpful organizing our group. For a very old inn, the refurbishing was really well done. The rooms were small but felt spacious. The rooms still had the Old World Charm...More
I stayed here in June for a friends wedding and left a pair of diamond earrings and a hooded sweatshirt. I called immediately upon getting home (about 3 hours after check out) & told them exactly where my things were & they called back to...More

I'm sorry that you never found your sweatshirt or earrings. It is highly unlikely that one of our staff took them. We have been accused over the years by guests (it goes with the territory) and eventually these guests found their lost items...More
Beautiful location and impressive appearance but totally lackluster hospitality. Most staff seemed to demonstrate a preference for "internal" interaction with other staff members rather than direct, focused engagement with guests. Had to wait quite a while to check in because the woman chose to devote...More

Yes, we took our own bikes. There is plenty of parking in the county lot in Jim Thorpe and Pocono Biking is right across the street where you load your bikes. You can choose your destination as to how far you want to ride and they will drop you off accordingly. It was approx $38 for us to ride the shuttle to White Haven with our own bikes for 2 of us. It does take the bus approx 50 min. to get to White Haven from Jim Thorpe though. Make sure you allow enough time. It took us 3 hours to do the 25 miles and we did not stop or linger much.
