While visiting family for Thanksgiving we decided to stay in Kennett Square as this year would be closer to our final destination. The Kennett House did not disappoint. It's a lovely old house which has been very well maintained and has some beautiful old thick moldings and solid wooden doors, with built in reading nooks by the front door. The... More

Gilja dedicates herself to the mansion and her guests. The Arts and Crafts style mansion is beautiful and very well maintained. Our bath was newly updated. I found the decor slightly uncoordinated with the home yet pleasing. Our second night we had to move into a larger room due to needed maintenance of the original smaller room and were not... More

My parents and I recently chose to stay with Gilja and her beautiful Kennett House B&B. Every detail was considered at this quaint and beautifully-maintained early 20th century home... The Arts & Crafts details, the thoughtfully-prepared breakfasts and delightful "peace" ongoing in this home --all of these elements come together to provide a terrific Kennett Square experience! Each of the... More

What a gorgeous house. And unlike many of her age, the home has been updated beautifully in keeping with the original design. Huge wide window sills, lots of oak woodwork, even the inglenooks remain. It's wonderful. The Longwood Suite is artfully tucked at the top of the staircase facing the rear courtyard. It's a large bedroom and sitting room arrangement.... More

Very gentle, gracious host. Tasty breakfast promptly each morning. Good coffee. And comfortable large rooms with a queen size bed. And we even had the room without the bathroom attached, it was no big deal at all. We still had a private bathroom of our own. I would recommend to anyone. It's within walking distance of Kennett Square, a quaint... More

Very nice room, good breakfast and a friendly host made for a nice visit. We stayed in the Wyeth room which was spacious enough for two. We were impressed with the attention to detail. If you like the B & B atmosphere you will be happy here.

Gilga was a wonderful host, ensuring that we were totally comfortable in our stay. She was able to accommodate our dietary preferences and made a spectacular breakfast. The house itself was a treasure, superbly clean and littered with beautiful orchids. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful historic inn! We loved all the stone, the wood, the textures, and the orchids. Downtown is a short walk away, so we parked the car and strolled to shopping and to supper. Gilja's signature French toast was delicious. The Delaware room was sunny and cozy, and we appreciated all the extra touches in the bathroom. The mattress was a... More

Innkeeper Gilja Kusano owns and operates a beautiful historic B&B within easy walking distance of the town center. The home is beautiful inside and out. The woodwork is exquisite. The furniture and decor complement the home. We stayed in the Longwood Suite for four days. That offers a bedroom, separate sitting room and ensuite bathroom. The king size bed has... More
