It was Christmas Eve, and pouring, I came in late, wet and was treated polity. I had called earlier, requesting a room on the first floor, which I got with no problem. My key did not work, it did light up but no entrance.
I was upgraded a few rooms down the hall and in seconds in my room. Of course I did an inspection! It was spotless. I checked pillows, trash cans, counter tops and could not have been happier.
I did not use them but it has a refrigerator, microwave.Laundry room, pool, what to see in the area.
The large screen TV had an option, use temporary phone, I had Clorox wipes so I used remote. The bed was very comfortable!
Hard to be happy in Covid times but I was. I woke up, left, grabbed my completely breakfast, safely wrapped to go, checked out and had a wonderful Christmas, with only joy in my heart! The storm was bad Christmas Eve night, power went on and off a few times. I slept threw it all! I would not lie. Believe me if it was bad, I would say so, it was a 10!

Decided to book this hotel based on the reviews and the proximity of the area we were exploring. Overall the hotel experience was good, there’s were 2 misses. We are staying in room 323 on the backside of the hotel facing the highway and it’s very noisy, especially at night when you’re trying to sleep. The cars are probably driving by at least 60 miles an hour. If you decide to stay here try to get a room on the opposite side. The other miss was that the hot tub was not working. We did a lot of walking over 2 days at Longwood Gardens and were looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub for a few minutes but when we came in that evening and asked about the hot tub we were told that it wasn’t working. Our stay included breakfast which consisted of premade breakfast sandwiches, muffins, bagels oatmeal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, etc. on our last day they had scrambled eggs and bacon. If you want your room cleaned you have to notify the front desk and they will freshen it, otherwise the cleaning staff doesn’t come in. The hotel is right down the road from Longwood Gardens and the Brandywine Valley museum as well as several other attractions in the area. there are several stores in the area including Walmart, TJ Maxx, Wegman’s and Giant and several antique shops just up the road. There are also several restaurants nearby. Also very close to the downtown of Kennett Square. We would probably stay here again if we come back to this area.

We recently stayed here for a few nights while we were in the area visiting Longwood Gardens and Winterthur Museum for the holiday season. The hotel is very conveniently located in terms of local places to visit as well restaurants and shopping - everything is just a short drive away. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The entire staff is friendly and very accommodating, even through these challenging times with all of the current restrictions. Corinne checked us in and was available both nights for anything we needed - thank you for such great service!

Stayed here one night with some girlfriends, as we had tickets to a night event at Longwood Gardens. Nice hotel, convenient location, clean rooms, comfy beds, and all the staff were really pleasant and helpful. We had two rooms, almost across the hall from one another. One was a suite that had a really nice sitting area/living room separate from the bedroom, and had a view of the rear parking lot. The other was a normal double room that had a view of the front parking lot. The next morning when we convened for breakfast, those in the back room said they all slept well and it was very quiet. The two of us who stayed in the front room agreed that the road noise from the highway was rather loud. If you are a sound sleeper, it may not be a concern. Or bring earplugs? Other than that, our only disappointment was that the hot tub was closed off in the pool area.

Fairfield Inn and Suites at Kennett Square is easy to find and has ample parking. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. We had a room in the front of the hotel and learned there is a lot of traffic noise. A white noise machine, earplugs and eye masks are provided upon request. These helped reduce the noise that kept up awake the first night. It was very difficult to regulate the temperature of the room and often the room was much too warm for us. The breakfast, although tasty, was repetitive. All that said, I would return again.

We booked this hotel as we wanted to see the Bruce Munro light show at nearby Longwood Gardens and wanted a nearby hotel. I stayed with my elderly parents and was very pleased with the value and size of our two room suite. Two queen beds in one room with sliding door to room with sofa bed, dining table and chairs, and little fridge and microwave. Everything was in nice condition. Free breakfast with staff closely monitoring to make sure food was plentiful. Staff was friendly. Hotel is also close to historic downtown Kennett Square. We were on the side away from the highway based on comments from others. Hotel is not visible from highway, We drove by for years without knowing it was there.

Unfortunately, my husband and I did not have a good experience at this hotel. The rooms are dated and in need of TLC. Additionally we had several issues that needed to be reported to the hotel staff, including no hot water and some issues with the cleanliness of the room. I would not stay here again.

I do want to share the positives… they have a nice breakfast selection, coffee and flavored water available all day, and great location in Kennet Square (close to shops, restaurants).

I thought this place was all right until I returned to the room late on the first full day of our stay and found the room hadn't been made up. After a call to the desk and then checking the web reservation material, I found, hiding in plain sight, their stated policy of only servicing the room every other night.

There was no info. about this offered or given at check-in or anywhere in the room. I view this as a "you should have read the fine print" scam.

Listen, Marriott: the pandemic is over. Stop trying to use it to impose service "shrinkflation" on your customers so you can jack your profits up by a minuscule amount and make Wall Street happy. The next time I have a marginal decision to make on where to stay I will remember this.

Hotel was perfect for a visit to Longwood Garden and the town of Kennett Square. Learn about why the town is known as the mushroom capital of the world at the Mushroom Cap store, peruse a variety of tea blends at Mrs. Robinson’s tea shop, check out the wares of local artists at the Square Pear, and sample yummy mushroom dishes at Portobello’s before heading to Longwood Gardens. The town also has a number of farms with farm stores and animals if you are traveling with children.

Pair the above with a visit to Valley Forge National Park/King of Prussia mall or Philadelphia and you have yourself a nice local weekend trip.
