We have camped at many campgrounds in the Lancaster area and this is one we will definitely return to. We were greeted by friendly staff that escorted us to our site and helped us back in. The site they gave us was fantastic and secluded. It was perfectly level and nicely covered with pea sized stone, none of that nasty...

This campground is centrally located to loads of fun stuff to do and see. The people running it are very nice and knowledgeable about the area. I think it's better for folks with their own rv with a bathroom though. We are tent campers, and the bathhouse was pretty run down and not super clean. The men's side has no...

Allow me to take a moment to address the reviews you've already read about this campground. After reading them myself, I questioned whether or not we were reviewing the same place. In regard to the mountain on which this campground is located; yes, it's steep... as most mountains are. That is the beauty of this place! The steep mountain allows...

Wow! Talk about a campground from the olden days. This place has mostly seasonal that are old and rickety. There's a guy who works there that STINKS and insists on hanging around...creepy!!! The campground is literally on a mountain so you have to climb up it and down it to get to sites. Thank goodness we only needed a place...

Went for memorial weekend and found it to be a convenient and scenic area to camp out, staff was friendly and responsive. Only minus for us was the toilet/shower building- not clean with vinyl drapes separating the stalls. Would go again based on the location.

Folks that owned the campground seemed very nice and they seem to be making improvements but this campground is clinging to a steep mountain and getting to the transient sites was a white knuckle experience. Up three levels on dirt/ gravel rods pulling a 37 foot fifth wheel. Once you got up top the sites were level. Water and electric...

We enjoyed our stay at the Loose Caboose. We only stayed for a weekend as a spot to sleep while the monster trucks were running at the Buck. We had a campsite up in the back. Most of the sites are seasonal, and already had campers set up. We noticed that our water was turned off before our checkout time,...

Use it as a travel jump point, not for a weekend of enjoyment. The photos of the campsites look really nice, but do not use this as your decision maker. You need to take the time to go there, and take a look around at the sites and the facility. I was there on July 5th, 2013, to look over...

we found part time owners and could not get a hold of them until they were off they have no staff on full time and that is a big disadvantage they have no set pricing and all the seasonal sites were differently priced they have some poor eyesores in the campground that need to be removed besides nickeling and diming...
