SNOW ! Yes snow this year so another trip to Lakewood Lodge! Another great time, great food and drink! On the B trail! plenty of trailer parking, its the place to stop! Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Another great stay!
My boyfriend and I went skiing at Elk Mountain for the day and stayed here for the night. Extremely clean room. We walked in and could smell how clean it was. Because covid is still around their restaurant part is take out only but we didn’t mind since we weren’t staying long. Everyone we met were super friendly and helpful to us. Something I didn’t read but may have missed it in booking our reservation - there is a microwave, mini fridge, flat screen tv, wifi, and bath towels. Great stay!
Spent one night with my husband here. Food was substantial and yummy. Staff were very personable - not many people staying this time of year so took time to chat. Breakfast was included - full cooked and continental breakfast. Basic feel to the building and features, but nice new bathroom and had everything we needed.
I am a chauffeur who brought nine clients to a music festival at Lake Como and needed to stay in a location close by as I knew that I would be dropping them off very late in the evening. I had a couple of days to wait for them and this hotel served as a local base to explore this beautiful part of the world. This country inn had mixed reviews. I know that the truth is always in the middle but I have to say that the reviews should be more on the positive side and I had no problems and felt welcomed by the staff. The owner Jim was excellent to arrange for me to get the key to my room number 4 which is small but quaint. The shower is tiny but my needs were simple; a warm comfortable bed, a hot shower, a quiet room, and good food. Breakfast in the morning was good and supper here was delicious. I had veal oscar! Lots of variety in the menu. The hotel is on a state highway and easy to find. It was built in 1947 as a home for railroad workers so the layout is quirky. A rail trail is across the street for hiking to work off the calories from the excellent ice cream store just down the hill. I felt comfortable here and the restaurant in the evening has a lot of local people. It is only about 50 minutes to Scranton where I was able to spend the day in Steamtown and the Lackawanna mines which Jim suggested that I visit. The drive there was spectacular going thru hills and lakes with beautiful farmland. I had no complaints staying here.…
My wife and I wanted a place to stay and ride snowmobile. I had been to the bar before but never stayed at the lodge overnight. Well let me tell you it was great! Jim and his staff do at great job at tending to any needs you may have. The room was very clean, warm (not easy since it was below zero that night) and had a comfortable bed! After a great day of riding we had a nice dinner in the restaurant , The next morning a great breakfast (included with your stay). What more could you ask for! Great weekend stay! We will be back next year!
