Stayed here overnight to see a show at a nearby theater. The place was clean and quiet. I checked in on line and got a digital key so I had relatively no contact with any employees other than the housekeeping staff in the hallways and they were all pleasant.
We were in the area for a long weekend. Upon our arrival we were provided an upgrades room at no additional charge. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially DuAnn. The room was spacious and clean. Location was well positioned in the area away from the outlet area. The only issues were lack of hot water a couple of mornings and a very loud group of kids that hung outside our door. Parents needed to control them better.
I am a Hilton member and always choose their properties, especially a Homewood suites, this was so disappointing. I have to qualify this by saying that I understand that due to its proximity to a major national sporting center, there are many many teams and kids staying here. The room was one of the highest priced in the chain when looking for a location. The room was dingy. Walls were all scuffed with wallpaper peeling in places. The couch was stained. The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. Breakfast was mediocre at best, and it was not crowded. There are hundreds of hotels in this area. I would not choose this one. There’s a Hilton Garden Inn across the street.
The room was spotless. The beds comfortable. Another bonus, there is a fan in the bedroom. Which helped with keep the room really cool! Loved the breakfast included in the price. The staff was amazing too!
This was our second time staying at this hotel. The Hotel is super clean. The Room was wonderful & spacious. We had a handicapped accessible room since my husband is in a wheelchair and the bathroom was huge and very accomodating. Duann is the best! She is very welcoming and always with a smile. Very helpful! The only downside was that the pillows & mattresses could use some updating. Too soft for us. Overall, we had a great stay and definitely will stay there again.
This place is a joke! There was 2 positive points to our stay. Duann was awesome at the front desk and the pool was nice! Other than that, it was not a nice hotel. I had 2 dogs with me, and told the front desk if there was an issue with them, call me and we would come back. Well about an hour after we left the hotel, I get a call from the manager stating he has had numerous complaints that my dogs have been barking non stop for over 2 hours. He was very nasty about it. First off when he called me, we had been gone an hour, not 2. The only thing good with the breakfast was make your own waffles. The eggs were cold and they were not real, the sausage and potatoes were cold as well. It doesn't do any good to be an honors member with Hilton because this hotel did not treat us well at all. I felt like they were giving us a hard time because we brought the dogs, but it's okay for kids to run up and down the halls screaming. Also there was a large group of people there that pretty much took over the lobby and outside areas. One person beside of us was on a zoom call and I could hear every word being said over my television. I had to leave a day early to due a family emergency and was told by the manager that I would get my money back for one night. Instead they made my last night there for more than it should have been.…
It was a disaster’s day the key card not work for my room and was originally told the wrong room to go to each time I wanted to get into my room I had to be in touch with the front desk not my idea of a vacation
We have always been happy with Hilton family of hotels. Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites are our favorites. This one did not disappoint! Except for the breakfast options...sausage & western omelette are not my favorites😪 They rotate breakfast options and we were unlucky in the rotation. But, coffee/tea/hot chocolate were fresh and available ANY time😊
My family and I have been going to the Sight and Sound plays for years. We recently went to see Daivd and the next day I took my grandchildren to Hersey Park (as I do every year). We also try to stay at different hotels through out Lancaster just for different experiences. This year we chose Homewood Suites in Lancaster and let me say that I could not have been more pleased. It all started the day before my arrival when I called and spoke with Duann to see if the 2 rooms I booked could be on the same floor. She just set the tone for my visit because she was so very pleasant and helpful during the entire conversation. When I arrived, she was the person who checked me in and she still had the same pleasant and professional service. The pictures online really don't do the hotel justice. The pictures make the 3 story hotel look rather small. However, let me just say that looks are quite deceiving. The hotel is actually massive. The hallways are looooooooooong and feel never-ending when walking them to get to my room. When I was assigned my room, I immediately wanted it switch once I saw it. Not because anything was wrong with it but because it was directly in front of the elevator and that is a "no no" no matter where I stay. I called to the front desk and that is when I had the wonderful opportunity to interact with Steven. Steven must be an angel sent from heaven just to accommodate me. He was always super helpful when I needed something. His over the top (in a good way) personality was just what I needed. He changed the room with no hesitation and also gave me options to choose the room I wanted. Whenever I needed something, Steven didn't make it seem like I was a bother. No request was too small or big, his professionalism did not waiver. As much as we vacation, I felt like I wanted to bottle him up and take him to all our vacation spots just so others can see what "top notch" service should looks like. Every hotel needs a Steven and a Duann. I would proceed with this review by describing the pros and cons, but I really don't have one single con to report during my 2-night 3-day visit. The rooms were exceptionally clean. We had a 2-bedroom suite and a 1-bedroom suite. They both were beautifully decorated as well. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. We had an abundance of space. I like that all the appliances were full sized. We not only had a large microwave, but we also had a counter burner. This may sound odd, but we vacation often, and I have never had a hotel to include mouthwash as one of the toiletries ( Neutrogena lotion, conditioner, shampoo, make-up remover AND mouthwash.....oh my). The outside of the hotel is very inviting and clean. The lawn was nicely manicured with lots of color coordinating flowers and bushes. The hotel has a nice patio, basketball court and corn hole game outside for use. The pool was also cleaned and was my grandkids 2nd home. The hotel is situated in a quiet area but still steps away from a Chilies and quick access to the interstate. Breakfast was good and served the purpose which prevented us from having to spend unnecessary money. The breakfast area was also well stock, and we never had to wait for items to be replenished, it was a constant supply. There were attendants throughout the breakfast hours to keep the items fresh and hot as well as keep the dining area clean. Let me also say, Steven and Duann were simply AMAZING, but they were not the only AMAZING staff at the hotel. It seems like being AMAZING is contagious throughout the staff. I didn't run into one person who wasn't smiling or who didn't exchange pleasantries with me. Everyone seemed to really love their job and enjoy working at that hotel I am very, very, very, very pleased with my stay and the top notch service I received. Experiences like this is why I am a faithful Hilton Honors members and trust this hotel brand. Trust me, I'm looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommend…
We stayed at Homewood Suites for a quick overnight stay in Lancaster. We met some friends who stayed at the hotel as well. The hotel was one of the cleanest I have seen in a long time. The bathroom was immaculate and looked brand new. The bed was comfortable, as well as, the pillow. Anytime we are in Lancaster this will be the place to stay.
