Wanted to check out place for while and decided why not finally. Lobby and building housing lobby looks amazing. The rest of hotel is two story outside buildings that offer great view of surrounding area. While I understand hotels can't always honor requests, there were enough empty rooms it was possible. Asked at check in what theme room getting and told not known, but found out later it had been. Reservation request was for Powder Puff, which remained empty right next to our room. Will forgive that as person was new. Given room at back of hotel and on 2nd floor towards end of row. Room appeared clean sleeping area wise but 1st thing friend found wrong with room was no remote for TV. Called front desk and within half hour one was delivered. She went to inspect bathroom and found a hair, not either of ours in shower. Would later also find another hair in her sheets, again not either of ours. While channels were limited on TV, predominantly cartoons found on the station matching hotel name. We did not mind that and watched Teen Titians. Beds were ok but will say the privacy shade that slides over window does not prevent people from looking in. Curtains do not close fully over window hence shade. They had a curtain mounted each side of window but you couldn't close them to provide additional privacy. And door also stuck but eventually got better. While inside bowl of toilet was clean we avoided shower and walls had skuffs and marks in some spots. The glass doors where in need of good clean inside and out of stall. Even shower towards back had marks on wall, but around shower head area looked clean. Since we were there a night did not use shower was glad took one at home. The toilet paper is industrial style which means has no middle hole, so if you are even expecting unbranded Charmin, don't. Only found out abt style of tp when went to change roll and realized someone had dug a hole into middle. No lie took pics, and hole until you used enough would not accommodate spring spool to put back in holder. The place offers activities but most happen before check in time, so you wouldn't know abt missing it until checked in. After 4 pm if you want to eat there you need to sit in bar. Gift shop was ok. The Cafe which my friend was excited to check out and get macaroons end up charging Starbuck prices. Needless to say she left empty handed. They wanted $13 for hotel branded macaroons. We left empty handed. Will say love the waffle house and olive garden near by to eat so recommend. While not nightmare stay would I stay here again........not likely though place shows promise if updates were made and property is placed ideally. Love the bright colored doors of rooms. Also was not provided wifi password upon check in, but we just used data. Price was fair, given it was abt $110 then $50 dollar hold deposit on check in incase damage, and did drop after check out. But end of day a lot more hotels around it and near to use if not looking for theme.…
This hotel is great for kids. There was alot to do for them. They have alot of activities for them in the lobby which is not connected inside. So you go outside and swipe in to get into the lobby for side entrances. They also have a ping pong table in indoor pool area. They have a hot tub. It looks like they have a nice outdoor pool area as well. There is no table to eat in your room. No chair to sit only a bean bag chair. My kids are excited to go back in summer.
We booked this hotel a month in advance for our daughter's birthday. She was so excited. Check-in was at 4 pm we arrived at 6 pm and were told the double room we booked wasn't available and they had no clue when it would be ready. We went to eat hoping when we came back the rooms would be ready or at least an update. Nothing! The Manager William was no help offering discounts to people at different rates. We waited over an hour just for him to come out and explain to the guest what was going on. While the staff claimed the other managers were cleaning rooms for over 4hrs and would be doing so for the rest of the night. When I asked about corporate I was told this place is independent and I could send an email to no help William. Overall this place sucks and they did nothing to fix their screw-up on their behalf. It was 7 other guest that we saw experiencing the same overbooking. Cartoon network you need to do better. Don't waste your money this place is motel 6 with cartoon-themed rooms…
The entrances to the rooms are all outside…so during the winter it’s tough. We encountered a day with rain so it was tougher lugging our suitcases up a flight of outdoor stairs. The indoor pool is also in a building outside. Restaurant has limited hours and we could only get take out when we went. They do play Cartoon Network on the tv. The bed was so hard. It felt like you slept on a rock.
Rooms were nice & clean. My kids loved the themed rooms. Staff was very friendly & attentive. Alan T. at the front desk was very friendly & helpful! He went above and beyond to accommodate some last minute requests. Would definitely stay here again!
Not much to do. Kids were happy to have their own tv in bunk but beds were uncomfortable. No table in room so kids had to ‘picnic’ on bed. Arcade was trash, prize redemption was only partially working. We had enough credits to get pack of Pokémon cards, they were “unavailable” wound up with garbage, to not waste credits. Pool was overcrowded and no place to sit. The property itself, and rooms seemed clean.
Just returned from my trip and the kids had a blast. We stayed 1 night and did Dutch winter wonderland. We had a suite and it was nice and spacious and cutely decorated. Pros: indoor pool was nice - life guards were present and the water temperature was great. Cons: hospitality from staff was a bit lacking you really had to seek someone out for assistance, couldn’t figure out the elevator so if you have problems with steps forget it. Maybe its only for staff? but it was locked. We bare bears cafe was ok but very expensive just a few drinks of a hot chocolate, a couple waters and a couple milk boxes was $40.00. Another thing Dutch wonderland closes at 8 and if you want a hot drink when you walk back you cant as the cafe also closes at 8. They would make more money if they opened a little later. The arcade was cute but most the games were out of order. Some were marked others were not and we wasted too much money on non functional machines. Breakfast was really slow and our order has to be redone as it was not done as we ordered and took forever. All in all kids had fun but would prob not stay there again, for the price I expected a little better service and amenities.…
Great for kids. Adults will have issues. Staff are accommodating. Need a sign for hut tub that's says kids under a certain age can't use it. A little bit more chlorine needed in the pool. We'll be back.
Indoor pool closed early due to no life guard available, staff was rude when I questioned why the manager was not able to assist, was told they could only have licensed lifeguards. Poor service, food was horrible. I decided to leave and was almost charged for a full day even though me and my grandkids were there for 3 hours. Finally I was granted a full refund and went to the Eden Resort. Best decision.
Be aware that this is Pennsylvania and the splash pad and outdoor pool will be closed in cooler months. There is still an indoor pool, a large yard, an arcade (must buy tokens), and a coloring & crafts room. Lots to do to keep little kids active and occupied. At night, there are firepits in the yard and a lighted area to play in or sit away from the fire pits. The room was clean and well themed. I appreciated the no waste shampoo and body wash pumps in the bathroom. My only complaints were that there was no microwave in our room and that the pre-made breakfast options were stale and overpriced. The restaurant was closed the morning of our stay so I can't say how those options were. The coffeeshop was great and had fun cartoon themed options.
