So I'll start with the good things; 1) It's cheap. We spent a week for 350. 2) Location. It is adjacent to several roads, and has a 24hr store across the street. It's kind of at the edge of the Rte. 30E "strip."

The rooms are in serious need of touch up repairs. I fixed the TP holder myself! The 1st room we were sent to hadn't had the refrigerator cleaned up inside-there was a quart of hardened milk! Small freezer frozen solid with old food stuck inside. We were kindly relocated to another room, but this filthy 'frig wasn't cleaned up, because I heard the complaining 2 days later with someone else.

But the atmosphere is terrible. There is only one way to enter the building, Smokers are supposed to stay 15' from door, but we often had to work our way through the crowd, which was pressed right up to the door. People live there! Small school buses drive through the lot.

Late nights are awful-loud cavorting in the hallway after midnight, maybe because a bar is across the street. One family with a small toddler, maybe 4 years, regularly ran down the hall yelling around 11:30 p.m.

The overall nature of the crowd there made us very uncomfortable. Maybe a lot has changed since Covid, but things could be much better.

Oh, yes! And I can't forget one of the housekeepers which I dubbed, "The Mask Nazi." You'd better wear a mask around her, or she will flip. No matter what one's opinion is of the mask requirement, you'd think that someone in customer service should know how to use tact. We avoided her greatly, and she was the cause of several loud disturbances for us.

My advice? Don't go there if you value your rest! There are other inexpensive motels around.

My husband and I stayed at the Econo Lodge South the middle of November. I would recommend this motel for anyone who is satisfied with clean lodgings without any frills. The service was good.

The room we got was adequate, however it didn’t have a refrigerator as was advertised on the site and in the brochure. Breakfast was bagels, honey buns and rice krispytreats with a few fruits. Tried to tell staff that they needed maintenance to fix the door because the hinges were loose and we were told multiple time that it was a safety feature of the door. The toilet didn’t flush properly, but the rest of the room was sufficient for our one night stay. Just saying, staff would do well to listen to customers input.

We keep going back to this small hotel because the staff are friendly and the place clean. We were treated by an older gentleman named Jim. He was the most polite person I have ever met in my life. After check in we were directed to the back entrance to our room. The room was on the first floor, which we had requested. The housekeeping staff informed us that due to the pandemic they would give us any items we needed but would not enter the room during our stay. My husband and I definately understood their situation. Some of the attraction like the Strasburg Railroad was still running , but with limited capacity. Our favorite place the Sight and Sound theater was not open. We hope to go back next year to see the new show. Over all a good trip during a crazy time.

We always stay at this hotel when visiting Lancaster. We like the friendly staff and the clean room. This time we were greeted by a friendly young man named Steven. He was very kind. He did let us use the front door due to my husband having to use the cane. The 2nd day we met the housekeeper Peggy, she gave us plenty of supplies so that we had enough towels and soap for our stay. We enjoyed the after the holiday sales at the Tanger Outlet stores. They now had a new Jersey Mike and Chipotle restaurant in front of the stores. This trip we had time so we went to the Amish stores in Intercourse town to pick up some great decoration stuff. Gald we drove than to fly anywhere far right now with all the flights being cancelled.

Literally the scariest room I have ever encountered in my life. Burn holes in sheets, no bed protectors on mattress or pillows. It smelled awful. No remote. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall. It was dirty, smelly, sketchy and waited forever for check in. The shower curtain was dirty, the only redeeming quality was the water was scalding hot. Carpet filthy, smelly, they had air freshener trees hung up in room.

We had stayed at this hotel in the past when we visited Lancaster Amish area. This time due to covid the lobby was closed off, I guess to protect everyone. The staff was very nice, especially Joe the front desk guy. He explained what was open and what was closed. Our room smelled clean and the beds very nice. We had to wear our masks everywhere in town. We shopped and relaxed since the lock down was over but heard it maybe enforced again. What a crazy year! We definatley can not wait till its over ! We wanted to go to Florida but decided to drive so we did not get stuck anywhere.

We visited Lancaster to do some spring shopping and stayed at this place. The hotel was a few blocks from the Outlet stores. The front desk told us that they just renovated the place. The rooms did look new. There was a Friendly restaurant next door and ate dinner on one of the nights. We also ate at Millers Smorgaboard, it was recommended by the housekeeper.

This place was very close to the Sight and Sound Theater which was playing a bible show. Our room was clean and the staff very friendly. We did not have a microwave but the employee told us they were ordered but not delivered since they just renovated the whole hotel. Over all nice place and nice area.

This hotel was located close to all the stores and restaurants. Judy was friendly and explained to us that the place was recently renovated. She gave us a room on the first floor as we requested was clean and close to the exit so easly for us to get our stuff from the car. The wifi worked great, actually really good for a motel. The price was really good for two nights. We plan to go back to Lancaster in the fall.
