Very clean and well maintained courtyard. As a platinum elite member I’ve stayed in these since bad in the 90s. Remote to any restaurants or shopping this courtyard was very typical but the size of the room was something I’ve never seen before. A king room was 200sq feet. The smallest bathroom I’ve seen and literally no room to even do work on the desk without hitting the sofa. It’s a well managed property and well taken care of but don’t expect anything like a typical room size here and that makes it impossible to include 4 people in a king with sofa bed as they advertise id recommended they reduce that to 2 per room.
This is our second stay here this year. We like to come when we go to Hershey Park. The lobby is clean and comfortable. It has several sitting areas, a bar, a grab and go section, and a small restaurant called The Bistro. The room is large. Marriott beds are always amazing. Everything is clean. There are plenty of USB ports. TV has internet options such as YouTube. My favorite part of the bathroom is the separate light inside the tub that you can use as a nightlight. My one request would be that they add additional hooks for hanging towels. The pool is small but warm and my son actually preferred not having a deep end. Hot tub is relaxing after a long day. Grounds are private and feel safe. No noise concerns.
I made arrangements with the hotel a year ago to host an "after-party" for my wedding. This hotel was chosen because it was the only local hotel with a bar. My husband and I spoke with Noah and Trish on MULTIPLE occasions, letting them know our plans and to confirm that the bar will remain open when we return from our reception. This was even confirmed again by both us the week before our wedding. Noah told me that per PA law, the bar will need to be closed by 2 AM but there is a note in our account to stay open. This was the week before my wedding. My husband and I paid for a bus transport for our guest to and from the hotel. Our guests arrived on the bus around 11:00 PM. My husband and I arrived around 11:45 PM. We went to our room to change, then came back to the bar a few minutes after 12:00 AM at which point the bartender told me last call. I told him this is not correct, we had arrangements to stay open. He told me that no one told him that and he was closed. I received an email from Noah a few days later and I told him how angry and upset we were by this and Noah tells me "Per a note left for our general manager from our bartender that night, there were wedding guests that starting drinking liquor and wine out of the bottle around 11PM and only 5 drinks were ordered from him because of this. Our bartender and our company can get into legal trouble if guests are drinking alcohol not purchased from the bar while the bar is open. I did mention that the bar can legally stay open until 2AM but ultimately the bartender has the discretion to close whenever they need to and in this case with wedding guests drinking non purchased drinks, he decided to close the bar early. " This is a lie. The alcohol that was left over from our wedding was in my possession, AT THE VENUE. My mother and mother-in-law were sitting in the lobby and no one had outside alcohol nor was approached about outside alcohol. The bartender made no mention of this, he told me he wasn't told to stay open. There was another event that evening. There is no way of knowing if these guests were even with us. I wasn't physically in the building until 11:45 PM. We were faulted over something that didn't have anything to do with us. We gave this hotel thousands of dollars of business that night and to be treated this way over something we weren't even there for is beyond ridiculous. We will never stay here again.…
Great location, Solar-powered hotel in the heart of Lancaster county. Right off Route 30, close to our favorite restaurant, Millers Smorgasbord. Has the standard Courtyard by Marriott mini-Starbucks in the lobby too. I enjoyed the fruit salad for a healthy breakfast.
Very nice property. Friendly staff and super helpful. Nice clean and large room. Lots of parking. We had an issue with our family dinner and BRIAN BIVENS went above and beyond to make us happy. With employees like Brian rest assured you are in great hands at this property. Our family will return again to this hotel in the near future! Thanks Brian wish more people went the extra mile like you do!
Booked several rooms here over a weekend for my nieces wedding. This was an excellent stay. Convenient parking, friendly check-in, clean modern rooms, beautiful and plentiful seating in the lobby and a very nice outdoor sitting area. Only downside is that breakfast was not included in the rate but there are several good places to eat nearby. Highly recommend this hotel.
The only reason I chose Courtyard is because I could use my free night from Marriott. The staff was attentive and friendly. They recently renovated the rooms, and I found them to be dull in color and decor. everything was black, dark blue, and tan, and hardly any lighting. I ate breakfast there and my breakfast sandwich was microwaved. All my other meals were at nearby restaurants.
View for the night! Beautiful hotel, great room, neat shower w controls to turn on without stepping in, good water pressure w rain shower head and handle, although slippery shower floor lol. App said valet or parking garage you pay for, but no valet once arriving. City view out the window although we got in late and tired lol #TravelBlogger #NashvilleBlogger #HotelReview
This hotel is newly renovated and all solar power. The hotel is immaculate, the staff is attentive to needs also very friendly. However the breakfast is not free which is no surprise for Courtyards but they do have many offerings at a fair price. The indoor pool was nice to come back to after a day in the heat. The 3rd floor Housekeeper with blondish hair was so nice and offered to clean our room even though it wasn't suppose to be cleaned that day.
Solid chain hotel option convenient to all that Lancaster has to offer. Easy access to highways and only about 35 minutes to Hershey as well. The hotel’s rooms and common areas appear to have received some renovations recently, and feature some newer decor I haven’t yet seen in other Courtyard properties. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a short trip, though it could’ve used a little more attention to detail from housekeeping as it did feel a bit dusty. Overall we had a good experience and would keep this property in mind for the future.
