Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Lancaster Arts Hotel captivates many guests with its artistic decor and charming ambiance. Spotless rooms with comfortable beds and historic features come highly praised, though some guests have called out the need for updates and quieter maintenance. While its central location near cultural attractions is a highlight for travelers, the experience is marred by mechanical noises and loud traffic for some. Additionally, the hotel's value is questioned due to service inconsistencies and perceived overcharges, despite the clean and unique environment it offers.

A beautiful hotel with so much character and charm! We would definitely stay there again. We stayed in a room with two queens and there was plenty of room. All staff members were super friendly. Location was great for walking around Lancaster and visiting Franklin & Marshall.

Lovely experience - the amenities and the staff were wonderful. I enjoyed the downtown creative atmosphere and the hotel reflected that ambiance. I would just like to mention that a shower stall bar would be a good addition for those of us who are a little unsteady on our feet. Otherwise, I enjoyed the artwork - I can't forget to mention the drawings provided by the guests that decorated the elevator!

Such a cool hotel! Loved the building and decor. Room and bathroom were clean, beds were comfortable. The staff were all incredibly friendly, and I got the feeling that THEY were proud of their hotel. Breakfast was tasty and plenty to choose from. Grabbed dinner at the Thai place next door for dinner, and some coffee at Mean Cup in the morning, and both were steps away and great.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!! I stayed here with my family last night and we had the WORST STAY! From midnight until 2am there were 3 SUVs in the front parking lot with all car doors open - blaring their music. There were about 20 guys drinking and screaming and they would surround every car that attempted to leave… POUNDING ON THEIR CARS AND SCREAMING AT THEM TO ROLL DOWN THEIR WINDOWS. The cars were forced into traffic and several collisions almost happen. So much honking. It was the scariest thing I had ever experienced. When we checked out the next morning after getting NO SLEEP, the lady at the front desk asked, how was your stay? I said is someone working the front desk 24 hours a day? She said yes. I said were you here last night? And she said no. I explained what we had been through and she said she was aware of what had happened and that the gang had rented one of their party rooms and they couldn’t get them to leave?!!??? UNBELIEVABLE! No cops were called , no discount was offered. WE PAID FULL PRICE FOR THIS HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE. DO NOT STAY HERE. I repeat… DO NOT STAY HERE.

We have stayed on the property many times over the last 5-6 years, and always enjoy the experience. We were somewhat disappointed with this stay, as we had requested a deluxe suite (specifically Room 400) and ended in a regular room (Room 304). We had booked this reservation well in advance so we were surprised that our room request was not able to be fulfilled. Having a room in such close proximity to the elevator was less than ideal, as the noise level of those coming and going was bothersome. Having John Jeffries on site is a big plus for us, as we have a long drive into Lancaster and on our arrival dates enjoy the convenience of food and drinks without having to leave the property.

This hotel understands the meaning of customer service. From the moment you step into the lobby until you leave. They pay attention to the fine details of a comfortable stay. Besides the rose and mints on the pillows. The complimentary glass bottled water, beautiful artwork everywhere, very comfy bed and pillows, the extra blanket, glassware, and the list can go on and on. The front desk assistants were extremely friendly and provided interesting insights into the background of the hotel. The morning breakfast, while classified as continental, was delicious. The server never stopped filling everything and ensuring all needs were met. The selections weren't your typical commercial hotel choices. This eclectic, funky, quaint hotel was such a diamond of a find. We will definitely be back and tell others. Thank you for restoring an atmosphere of service.

Very comfortable stay. Would definitely like to come back! The complimentary breakfast was a bit lack luster but honestly not a big deal. The was a problem with my room and they offered me a discount to downgrade to a smaller room which I was totally fine with. They were very polite and sincere about the mishap. Wonderful customer service through and through!
