Beautiful Bed and Breakfast

The Campbell House is very special. Patti is a fantastic hostess and took a lot of care to make sure everything was clean and sanitized during COVID. We stayed in the Campbell Suite. Fantastic. Very roomy, filled with antiques. Every corner was special, from the private porch, the sitting room, bedroom, dressing area and bathroom with a shower and claw-footed bathtub. Ligonier is also very charming. This is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway. During COVID, we had the option of a boxed breakfast that was waiting for us in the fridge, or to have a socially-distanced breakfast. We chose the box breakfast and it was very good. The suite also has a fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and sink. A perfect place! Highly recommend and will be going back.

Great Stay and Super Corona Protocols!

We had to make a business trip to the area and were understandably nervous about traveling and possible exposure to pandemic germs. We felt totally safe and comfortable at the Campbell House. Patti has gone to great lengths to provide for guest comfort while ensuring safety and super cleanliness. She has had to make several adaptations to normal B and B service because of the pandemic, but has not sacrificed quality of service one iota. The room was very well appointed with everything we could possibly need. One thing I really enjoyed was the daily surprise treats left wrapped in plastic wrap and left on the small table next to our suite. One day a plate with slices of pound cake and fresh cherries, another day an assortment of cookies/crackers, fruit and mini cheeses. It is obvious that Patti gives great thought to her guests comfort and enjoyment. We were afforded as much privacy as we wished, but also really enjoyed sitting on Patti's front porch and enjoying a little socializing with her while appropriately distanced. If traveling for business or pleasure, it is nice to know that you can do so in comfort and safety at the Campbell House. We will be back!…

Oh my gosh, I feel bad-I just saw your wonderful review of your stay at Campbell House. Please forgive me for a senior moment, well longer than a senior moment. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate your positive review and how comfortable you were during these trying times. It is difficult to figure out exactly what the right thing to do while following protocol and make a safe pleasurable visit for guests. My staff and I work hard to provide a super clean, sanitized and we plastic wrap so much as you saw. I am so happy you felt comfortable, safe and enjoyed my treats. Hope to see you soon. Patti

Best place to feel safe during pandemic

I needed to find a place to stay while attending to family business in Ligonier, PA. Since it was during the pandemic and many places were still on lockdown, I chose the Campbell House B&B. I felt totally safe and well-taken care of. The owner, Patti Campbell, went above and beyond to maintain a clean and sanitized environment. The King Suite was very large, cozy, and comfortable. When I arrived the lights were dimmed, soft music was playing and the electric fireplace was lit. It was just what I needed after driving the PA Turnpike and I felt so relaxed. Hand sanitizer was provided and remotes were wrapped in plastic. Patti had left items for breakfast in the large refrigerator that's right in the room, along with K-cups for coffee or tea. Individual items like salt and pepper shakers were all wrapped in plastic. The king-sized bed provided a good night's sleep. It was so much nicer than staying in a hotel room, especially at this time when everyone has to practice social-distancing and wear a mask to prevent spread of COVID-19. It's a challenging time for everyone, especially B&B owners and anyone in the hospitality industry. I hope guests will continue to support them.…

Stepping back in time

We came for a weekend stay to research my father's family. This period correct B&B was a wonderful way to cap off our visit to beautiful Victorian era Ligonier, PA. The Painted Ladies room was most relaxing and a treasure to return to after a days worth of walking and exploring. The hostess, Patti, was also a pleasure to meet. She runs a tight ship! It was like coming home to a good friend each day, as she asked about your day and provided great info about town history, where to go, and what to do. The breakfasts served we're delicious, home made FROM SCRATCH making them truely unique. Price is very comparable. We also considered the Ramada, which was a little cheaper. But when we figured that we'd have to buy our own breakfast and wouldn't have the charm and beauty that a Victorian home can provide we felt her room charge was a true bargain.…

What a great time. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay. The rooms are unique. "Peppermint" Patti, owner, is quite the character. She makes your stay a pleasure. The food is excellent. She will experiment with food for you and give what you want as long as you communicate. Can't say enough. Stay here for a very very nice stay.
