This B&B is a house built in 1760 and lovingly restored by its owner, Dawn. It is beautifully decorated and meticulously clean, yet has a warm and comfortable vibe. Dawn explained the 'no shoe policy' in her confirmation email, so we were prepared with slippers/socks. When we saw the beautiful floors, we fully understood. Dawn prepares a wonderful 3-course breakfast...

We stayed in one of the houses on the property-it was marvelous. Can't wait to return. The people are the greatest and the breakfasts are not to be missed. Of course we were there to see the wolves in the sanctuary and it was the best couple of days I have had in a long time. THe house had every...

My husband and I arrived around 4pm on a Friday for a 2-night stay in the "Paymaster's Office" cottage. As we pulled in to a space in front of the main building, the front door opened and we were greeted by one of the resident innkeepers, Dawn, an easy going, charming, garrulous host, ready with a fount of information about...

This place was recommended by a couple we met at another B&B last year. The place is beautiful, room is very nice but the hosts are not exactly what I consider welcoming or warm -- which is what I expect from a B&B.

We stayed here in May and it was a unique and thoroughly pleasurable experience. One is aware constantly, in both the house and its grounds and outbuildings, of the layers of history that exist here in this spot. The beautiful stone house has been lovingly and respectfully restored to its former colonial nature. We stayed in "Kathryn's Room" and felt...

So happy that I accepted an invitation from dear friends to join them on a get-a-way at Speedwell Forge. The experience was absolutely wonderful!! The Inn is located on a fabulous property that included a wolf sanctuary. We began our morning by participating in an excellent guided tour given by a volunteer named Matt. He was able to tell us...

This was one of the most memorable trips of my lifetime. My husband, a dear friend and I had a very special tour of the wolf sanctuary on the same property as the Speedwell Forge B&B and then we spent the night in immaculately clean and beautiful rooms in a very special, historic Lodge. We could not have asked for...

This is an immaculate B&B with very spacious rooms and bath with all the amenities. In fact, the mattresses in our room were custom made - really comfortable. Dawn explained everything to us upon arrival and accomodated any requests we had for breakfast which was delicious. Wish we could have stayed more than 1 night. The town of Litiz is...

We have visited Speedwell Forge many times in the past several years and it's always a pleasure. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, immaculate and beautiful. Dawn serves a delicious three-course breakfast. The cats are sweet and the wolves are gorgeous. Their howling is so soothing. This has been one of our favorite places to visit.

I loved this place. Its so quite and peaceful! And the wolves! So the best part of this B+B is that when we stayed, in April, those who stay the night are allowed, during the day and until dusk, to walk around the enclosure and view the wolves. This is So much better than the tour, for you photographers listening...We...
