Detailed Reviews
We had never been to the Susquehanna River towns before and decided it would be a fun thing to do. Of course, we had to make a choice as to where to stay for a few nights, and I must say, I'm glad we chose the Susquehanna Manor in Marietta. This historic, pre-Civil War home has obviously been kept in great shape, and Rachel, the proprietor, shared much of the history of the house.
The building is beautiful, as is the surrounding property. Rachel was very accommodating regarding the breakfasts (wonderful cook, by the way), and there was a delightful pup to welcome us as we entered (just loved to be scratched and petted). She also had her adolescent daughters helping out, which was impressive.
The Country Suite room we opted for was a nice size, and the bathroom was one of the largest for a B&B that we have been to. I will say that the old fashioned claw-foot tub/shower would not be for anyone having trouble reaching one's legs over it to get in and out, as it's a bit higher off the ground that the average tub.
The Manor is off the street and near the other river towns of Columbia and Wrightsville, literally not more than ten minutes away. Marietta is a quiet town, and its best feature is the river trail. If you have a bike, even better. Oh, there's a wonderful Italian restaurant two minutes away called Marco's. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but wonderful food. McCleary's Pub is also nice as long as you can handle pub food.
Finally, the three-night stay didn't break the bank. B&B's tend to be quite expensive, and while this was not cheap, it was worth the money. Very pleasant indeed. I saw that weddings occur here as well, so I even left my card for anyone interested in looking for an officiant. This is a beautiful place to have a wedding. We were here simply to get away for a few days, so it's also a great place to do just that.

With Covid safety in mind, we chose this B&B because our ground-floor room (Blue Belle) had a separate entrance. Room was small but offered safe, convenient access.
As for location, the house is on several acres but across a busy road from the town of Marietta along the river. We did not consider it walkable to Marietta. And worse, labor shortages due to Covid meant there were not any restaurants in town open on a Monday night.
Our Host Rachel was very accommodating and tried to find us a place that offered outdoor dining (for Covid safety). But nothing worked out. We ended up driving 10 miles to another town and having to eat indoors at a diner. Disappointing.

So glad we happened upon this bed & breakfast when looking for a place to stay the night before a half
Marathon in Marietta. They are dog friendly and the owners we so so kind to our dog and very welcoming of him.
Our room was great and the one we chose even had a private entrance to the outdoors which we enjoyed using to take our dog out for the bathroom easily.
The bed was SO comfortable and the blankets were heavy (which I love!)
Lastly, the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal especially after a race. Deliciously made French toast, eggs made to order, potatoes and bacon (let’s be honest my dog appreciated the bacon too!)
We would definitely spend a night here again it was such a fun little getaway

The home is lovely, our room was comfortable as was the bed itself. The inn keeper was very flexible to accommodate our late arrival and early departure. She told us that there would be pastry or cookies left for us but when we arrived there was nothing. The main reason for 3 of 5 is because we never saw or interacted with the inn keeper personally and breakfast was mediocre. The strawberry topped French toast was very good but the following course was not and that was accompanied by overcooked bacon. We love to stay at b&b's when we travel and have been fortunate to experience many. Perhaps we just caught this one on an off morning.

The house is beautiful and very well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the room was perfect. We also purchased the on-site surf and turf dinner which was outstanding and worth more than the price. All food served was delicious and prepared with special care. We took advantage of the jacuzzi and the beauty and peacefulness of the yard. We enjoyed our time with Rachel and her daughters, as well as her dog and cat. We will be back!

Booked a room for my wife's birthday. The house is beautiful. It's like stepping into a time machine. The room we booked had a gorgeous bear claw tub, which my wife loved. Rachel, the Host, was very nice and amiable. Only thing keeping me giving 5 stars was the fact we were told that there would be no breakfast bc we booked through Airbnb, which would have been fine had the listing on their website not stated that a gourmet breakfast was included. I suggest editing the listing on the Airbnb website, so as to end this confusion. Other than that, I highly recommend anyone wanting a nice, quiet, beautiful place to stay.

First time staying here and we will be back! Rachel was very welcoming and made us feel like family. She made delicious gluten free waffles and French toast. We enjoyed fresh fruit, juice, coffee along with the waffles, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausages to name a few. She made sure we were stuffed after each breakfast and accommodated my health issues. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. It was nice having Al our family under one roof. Rachel has two fireplaces and two “parlor” rooms we sat and caught up. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!!!

We had a most delightful stay! The rooms were clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Towels were large, soft, and abundant. The breakfast was delicious and care was taken for every detail. Our hostess was attentive and made certain we were comfortable and had what we needed, including thoughtful afternoon tea and snacks. Since we reserved several rooms for our extended family, Rachel went above and beyond to see that we had room to gather and that everyone enjoyed their stay. She also offered great suggestions for the surrounding areas - there is SO much to do close to Marietta! We have already planned to come back next year.

This is our second stay at Susquehanna Manor. I said it before and WILL say it again, thank you, that Rachel is a wonderful cook! This time her French Toast totally wowed us, oh my goodness!! Warm, not limp, tasty, and there were WARM oh my goodness blueberries on the side. Next day, pancakes that were actually cakey and oh so very good with warm bananas!!! We also enjoyed the eggs, bacon and potatoes that followed. Finally, we appreciated the intelligent, thought-provoking conversation. We loved that Rachel made the time to sit with us when we asked her to sit and chat. Thanks so much!

Great surprising B&B, truly an antique manor with with great wood details. We arrived when it was cold outside and the fireplace in the living room felt very homey. The rooms we stayed in were big and bathrooms were beautiful.
We had a great time staying there, great night sleep and freshly made delicious breakfasts, recommended.
