Good food and friendly staff. It is a small place and has a bar atmosphere. No separate dinning room but it was nice. The food was well priced good. I got the special of the day that was pork chops and got a generous helping.

SO TRUE!!!!!!! I think the old lady that greeted / check me inn was the owner. She was so sweet and pleasant. She even had a sidekick a little dog. Displace went reminded me of mom-and-pop hometown America. Pittsburgh's best kept secret!!!

This place looked really neat, throwback from older trips we used to take. The rooms were all decorated differently, making them quite unique. Big problem, for us, is that the owner smoked and every room reeked of cigarette smoke. We nearly choked to death. We thought that we could stand it as the room was so neat, and a good price, but we both had headaches in the morning. We had to wash all our clothes as they smelled of smoke. Not a great experience. Too bad! The owner and staff were really nice and gave us air sprays, but nothing really helped.

This is undoubtedly the BEST KEPT SECRET in Pittsburgh. It is a motel that you can send your friends and neighbors to without worrying about it being clean or uninhabitable like so many sub par chains I have had the displeasure of visiting in the Pittsburgh area. When you arrive, you will be greeted by Judy the owner in her house and given a warm welcome. She will tell you the best places to eat and share some local stories if you want. When you enter your room, you will have a flashback to another time and place. Each room has its own theme and I decided to take the "Route 66" room complete with memorabilia from the fifties along that infamous route. The room was VERY clean and the mattresses were extremely thick with a pillow top. It was extremely comfortable and we slept very well indeed. The motel is a throwback to simpler times when roadside motels were the style and all on one floor. You park your car outside your room and unload your bags. It brings back memories when life was simpler and road trips were a pleasure instead of a "ROAD RAGE" horror. I highly recommend this motel to anyone who would rather have a clean quiet room as opposed to all the amenities and price of the high end hotels. I will gladly stay at this motel again when I go to Pittsburgh. If you like simple and laid back, you should make your next stay at this diamond in the rough. It is not fancy, high-brow, or pretentious. It is classic, homey and clean. Try it for yourself next time you visit the "BURGH".

We stayed at the Waterford Tower Hotel and we loved it, clean, service was exceptionally, staff were amazing and the food really good, we then decided to stay at the same hotel group in Kilkenny, that was a big mistake, staff are rude, we made mention that we were waiting for someone to take our order in the restaurant and were told it’s not his job, the starters we ordered took about 15 min to arrive, thereafter we waited for more than an hour for the main course to arrive, it never did so we left, I was cornered as I left and told the food was on its way, the staff then became aggressive after I said I want to complain, I will never stay at these hotels again, neither will I recommend them to anyone, extremely disappointing after a very enjoyable stay in Waterford Tower Hotel.

Family owned clean and comfortable, it reminds me of a bed and breakfast. Also it is twenty minutes away from downtown, the airport, shopping centers, and theaters. Right on the island there is bowling ,skating ice or roller and an indoor golfing range at the RMU sports center.
