First room was awful. Okay, you get what you pay for, but still. Some of the people there that I interacted with were nice. At one point I ended up on phone with person who acted as though owner/person in charge. I was informed e.g. that they do not provide tissues - that I should go to (Ritz?) if that's what I want. After being rebuked, voices raised, all of a sudden I was told to pack and that I was being given another room. Room was much better, but it's all relative. It did smell (thought I confess I am sensitive to that) and so was glad family I was visiting armed me with a spray bottle of Febreze.

This was the worst hotel experience I ever had. We chose this hotel becasue it was convenient for a track meet my daughter is competing in. We had to stay 4 nights and by day 3, everything was a disaster. The room has a lingering foul odor upon check in that we thought the a/c would resolve but did not. The cable stations are fuzzy so we cannot see NBC(the Olympics) too well. The room service is horrible. I will stick with the Comfort Inn and never use a Red Carpet Inn again. As a coach I travel a lot and use a lot of hotel chains. I will notify the Keystones Games committee to not add this to their recommended list of hotels for visiting athletes to use. The staff here is friendly but it is over shadowed by the poor quality of service.

I'm confused as to where I actually stayed. Is it a Days Inn or the Red Carpet Inn? I'm moving to a new city, and driving with a toddler makes it tough to determine what city I will be in when it's time to go to stop for the night. I've been driving for hours, This was the only place to have a vacancy in the area, so I get that I will have to pay a bit more for a room.
When you pull into the driveway, There are really big potholes up to the Red Carpet Inn check in office. Left is the Red Carpet inn and right is the Days Inn. I take my over tired cranky toddler out of the car and see a sign in the door that states, " From 10 pm to 8 am pls check in at the Days Inn counter." I walk in to the Red Carpet registration area and there's a sign that states to pick up the phone and press 0. The person on the phone tells me to come down to the Days Inn to check-in. Seriously....It's only about 730pm. I put my toddler back in and drive down to the Days Inn.

Upon check-in I ask for a crib and am told it's a $10.00 charge for each day I am a guest. 10 Bucks- Really... I've never paid for a crib at any other place. Fine, I have no desire to haul out my pack-N-Play for one night as it's buried under suitcases and back packs. The gentlemen who brought me the crib was great, so professional and nice. They had a sheet and a blanket set up in the crib so that was nice too.

The door numbers are printed on computer paper and taped to the door. The room is very outdated and smelled like orange cleaning solution. The Decor and TV are from the late 80's or 90's. Water spots on the ceiling around the lamp. A few dead bugs on the window sill.

My allergies start to kick in and I'm not sure why, it could be the old AC and maybe it doesn't have a filter or the filter is old. One thing that I am allergic to is mold and the really old AC's that have the filters on them, The old AC's blow in something I'm allergic to. The allergies are not so bad that I can't handle it, so I don't say anything. There wasn't anything else available in the area and my toddler needed to get out of the car and sleep.

The bathroom needs an upgrade as well. The ceiling fell in or something and the repair job was not the greatest. The paint job is horrible and paint is peeling and cracking. The bathroom door has paint peeling and there's a chunk of the door missing. The bathroom fan doesn't work. There appears to be mold in the shower area on the ceiling and on the walls and by the bathroom mirror. I'm not sure what the black spots were but I figure since my allergies are acting up, it's probably mold.

There appears to be two abandoned cars in the grass in the back of the Days Inn parking lot.

You have to go down to the Days Inn to get your free breakfast and coffee. Which is why I"m wondering if it was a Red Carpet or a Days Inn That I stay in as I had to do everything at the Days Inn.

The only nice things were the mini-fridge and microwave. The bed was firm, too. Which is why I Rated it poor. If there was no fridge or microwave, I would have rated it a 1.

I get that I have to pay a bit extra for reserving a room while eating dinner at a local restaurant that night. I get it if someone just bought the place, and needs to renovate, But offer discounts when you know the rooms need serious renovations. I've stayed in better places for less on a last minute notice.

Definitely not worth the $113.00 I had to pay for one night to include the crib charges.

This hotel should be closed down
I have been here
3 months during the pandemic
They stoped supplying clean linen and towels I asked
To be moved still no new room cause my room has bed bugs
And talking with other guests tell me they are having bed bugs in there rooms also. I am so frustrated cause with the pandemic
Can't get no one one the phone to complain
It's hard trying to find a new place during the pandemic.hopefully with everything opening I can. The state needs to check out this hotel it is a health hazard.

Good place to stay. Affordable price, and worth the money. The rooms are sweet and are rather unique. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, & a desk with a chair in the room. pretty awesome TV with more than 50 channels and a very nice housekeeping staff.

Called the Days Inn over the phone and they told me that they had rooms available. When I got there I checked into a room was given directions of where to go find the room but it was at a hotel next-door called the red carpet, was explained that it's pretty much the same with a few less amenities. I asked about the pool could we still use the pool at the days inn and was advised yes but only for five dollars more per person additional, I decided to wait and see if I'm going to use it first. When I got to the building it was in need of major repairs and clean up. When I got to the room it was not ready to be occupied as it was still dirty from the last customer. I was not happy with this was not happy with the appearance of The room in general, was not happy with the building, large trash bags piled up all over, was kind of afraid to stay there so I went back to the office they apologized and gave me my money back. Truthfully I wouldn't waste my time going there, go find another hotel just like I did.

We have stayed here several weekends in the past 1 and 1/2 years and will keep going back. They have put in brand new TV's and have fridge and microwave in rooms. Very clean bedding and nice large rooms. They have a wonderful friendly staff. Everyone who greets you is very friendly and accommodating. They also have a hot breakfast which is very good, better than most breakfast diners. We will continue to go here whenever we are in this area.

I lived out of this hotel for 4 months. Not a 5 star hotel or anything, but for $150 a week this couldn't be beat. One of the nicest hotels I've been to in awhile. Pretty big rooms, extremely comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and just everything overall about the room was very good, especially for the rock bottom rates. Only complaint I have is that the carpet is very dirty and this place isn't exactly what I'd call "quiet". I have heard alot of bad things about the one section of this place (there is 2 separate buildings), its the part thats connected to the office, so make sure to ask for a room thats located in the building in front of the days inn. i had room 330, all the rooms in that building are very nice.

I often take a room at the Red Carpet Inn.

It looks like they've reduced their rates from last year. I believe they are more interested in hosting customers than keeping up with the trends of posh hotels, levels of poshness that costs them customers -- and their rates have become affordable to more spending budgets.

They also offer weekly rates lower than all hotels except one in Dauphin and Cumberland counties.

The morning continental breakfast (cereals, coffee, breads) is nice for the early birds. Good coffee. The coffee is one of my criteria for judgment ha ha ha.

The weather is cold this week. The heater works so well that I had to turn it off or open the door. I would imagine the air conditioning works equally effectively.

Smoking rooms are still available. Rooms are differentiated as Smoking and Non-Smoking. If someone were to rent a non-smoking rooms that smells like smoke, they can blame the previous tenants (not the hotel). In that event the hotel staff, who are nice, would likely be willing to reassign a room.

In summary, the staff and management appear to offer more hospitality at lower rates than competitors, and while the hotel might not offer all the amenities, as hotels go, they're outpricing their competitors.
