My wife and I spent two nights at the Porches in New Hope to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary. Everything about our stay was excellent. The breakfasts were tasty and healthful. John made sure that everything we needed was provided. We are planning to return...More
I just wanted to say that I enjoyed my stay at Porches very much. It was clean and neat and in a perfect location as you can walk to many things. I have to admit that the best part of my stay though was the...More
My girlfriend and I recently stayed here for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect. Tucked away from the main street yet all dining and shops are within walking distance. We stayed in room #1 which was very nice. The owner John (and his faithful...More
Well, I can say plenty. My wife & I stayed in room #10 for one night on a Wednesday. The room is nicely decorated but very small....more like cramped. The mattress was very soft to the point of uncomfortable. The TV had a satellite connection...More
This was our first time at a B&B so I have no other inns to compare it to. We stayed in room #7 (nautical theme) for a 1-night stay. The room was pretty unique; it is in private quarters off the main house and had...More

By coincidence, I just returned today from another fabulous stay at Porches and asked the owners your question. Room 11, which is in a separate building from the main house, is a lovely room that is ground level and has a seat in the shower. (I stayed in this room on a previous visit and loved it.) All of the beds in all of the rooms are high, however, so depending on the handicap, that might be an issue. There are a few steps (three or four) that must be climbed going into the main house where where breakfast is served on the porch in nice weather and in the dining room off season, but they will also deliver breakfast to your room upon request. I would suggest calling the management with more specific details about the handicap to ensure that Porches is an appropriate accommodation. It certainly is fabulous from all other perspectives!
