I have visited over 50 campgrounds in Pennsylvania throughout my life. Most of which did not have the ammeneties at Splash Magic has. Every year they add more and more to the campground. As beautiful as the campground is it needs some work. The roads are staring to get a little

Response from Ron B, Owner at Splash Magic Campground
Responded Jan. 15, 2019
Thanks for your response. Not everyone understands that we have experienced 10 major flooding events over the past 16 years. These flooding events bring water and mud into the store, the pools, the flower beds, the roads, the pads and every inch of grass. So we struggle to rebuild and improve what we are allowed to do. Since we are in the federal flood zone, we are very restricted by what we can and cannot do to the buildings. Every permit we obtain is a battle. We are in the process of constructing a brand new elevated pool and deck which will extend out from the store and the outside of the store is getting a face lift for 2019. We have been working on the drainage, the sewers, the electrical improvements under ground which all take time and a vast amount of money and are also things you can't see. We also have greatly improved all activities and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on amenities so everyone can enjoy them. Flowers would be extremely nice and we are working to try to make Splash Magic's appearance a little better for the future. We still think we have the best family campground for the money. Thanks for your review. Your comments are appreciated.

My family and I rented 2 sights for the weekend to go to nearby attractions. During our stay in our cabin we had some huge issues and I don’t feel that I should have had to contact the front desk to explain because these issues should have been seen before we checked in. By the

We camp here multiple times every year and have a lot of friends that are seasonal. The crew is always working to keep things tidy and comfy. Store has most anything you could think of that got left behind at home. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, this place has a small

The grounds are well maintained and it is quiet even though it is often crowded. My concern is that they do allow drinking in the public areas, including the pool. They are building a sky pool and it sounds like they are planning to permit smoking at/in the pool which isn't

I am here now for the rally on the river biker rally and party. Almost no bikes. Those that have bikes mostly hauled them in. Also they are very anti firearm. I was told I can not secure my firearm and would have to surrender it to the lady at the counter. This is not

When camping here we stayed in a log cabin. This provided electricity and running water. The campsites that were visible to us were not shaded at all. There was a way to hook up electricity but for showers and bathrooms, there was like a ‘port o potty’ version with shower stalls and toilettes. There were also washers and dryers one could use to wash clothes. As for the activity band.... when we stayed here I think it was just before Labor Day and so I believe it was off peak season so that most of their staff had left already. This left us little to know activities as their were no workers to man the activities. We spoke to the manager about this and they allowed us to utilize almost all of the activities offered without having to purchase a wrist band.

You need to bring your own sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. We do not supply any linens at all.

Plenty of space in the pool. Great fishing. You can rent or use your own bikes. Bumper boats, paddle boats, and rowboats to rent. Arcade is small. Basketball court. Big playground. And of course, access to Susquehanna river very convenient.

We go there often and most people we see have adult beverages. Best to make them incognito, just to be on the safe side. Don't think they care as long as you don't get rowdy and obnoxious. Stay on your on site and don't bother anyone with it.
