Upon arrival we were greeted at the front gate and immediately felt right at home. We stayed in one of the cabin, it was clean, fresh towels and toiletries were in the room.
We met some really nice people there, this was our first visit, but may not be our last. We had a coup

I attended the “Bouncin Buns” 7 km trail run at Sunny Rest Resort on 26 August. What a great place! The first part of the run (about a mile) was on paved roads around the camp sites (some of which are very nice!) and then into the woods. I get the feeling there are several acr

nice view
We have only been to Sunny Rest once which was in August 2012 and we stayed in one of the rooms in the 1-8 group. We loved the location but the rooms were pretty rough from a maintenance standpoint. The AC unit was dripping condensation into the room so the carpet was wet and musty. We are going to plan a trip to Sunny Rest this year with friends and need to know if the 1-8 group of rooms have been renovated and when. If they haven't had a major renovation, we will probably look at other rooms.
