My husband stayed at the Mansions on 5th for a business trip last month, and knew that I would love the decor - Tudor style with lots of intricate detailing on the woodwork inside. I believe Frick's lawyer lived at the mansion we visited. The hotel was completely booked due to a wedding party, but we did go to the...

Stayed 3 nights with wife in the Amberson House and this place has class and character. Very nice place to stay. Comfortable large and well decorative room. Having full access to a keurig with a great selection of coffees. What sealed the deal with us was a great service when there wasn't any more decaf but a super sharp attendant...

My husband and I spent the night there last night. It is a beautiful property. We stayed in a standard king room and it was more spacious than it appeared in the photos. We were greeted at our car by Ron. I believe that his title is Butler, He served as valet, bellhop , historian and concierge. We enjoyed some...

I was very pleased with how hard the staff worked to help make our event a successful one. The valet parking staff we attentive to the guests helping them unload their cars. We did not have to wait long to get our car after giving our parking ticket to the valet staff when we were ready to leave. The wait...

Charming, very easy, great neighborhood, kitchsy, great bar and a great value and neighborhood. But . . . This is a house, and at 5 am, someone who I assume is an employee spoke so loud and obnoxiously for the next 3 hours, sleep (I was at the top of the mansion stairs) was simply not a possibility. Here running...

Nice looking, staff non accommodating, Stopped in on 3/17 for drinks and appetizers, had to wait 20 min before we had to go to the front desk to get service. food was lousy and it's a good thing we're honest. Again had to go to the front desk to get and pay our check.

We only spent one night at the Mansions On Fifth but wished we could have stayed longer. It was a truly unique experience in accommodations. Not just a hotel, the Mansions On Fifth is an early 20th century two-house estate, full of charm and elegance, with a rich history. Furnished much like it was when it was first constructed, it's...

The place is very beautiful with sculped wood work on the walls, stained glass windows, interesting artwork and a lot of history.  Reserved a 1 bedroom suite and got a standard room.  Wasn't told about the room switch at check in.  Issue was rectified by price reduction. Event Friday night with multiple guests, wasn't warned by staff about event and...

My husband and I have been visiting our children at Pitt for 8 years and always stayed at a major chain hotel in Oakland until this visit. The price was similar to other hotels and we were excited to stay in the mansion! ....but we ended up being next door in what the hotel called the "mansion next door" and...

I was in the area visiting our daughter at Pitt. We have stayed at the other main hotels on campus that are in the same price range, and this was much nicer. it is an old building, so yes, the wide stairway creaks and the floors are old :-) That is part of its charm! The room was modern with...
