Detailed Reviews
We came here for a New Year's Eve wedding with family. The hotel itself and the hotel staff were very nice. Rooms were nothing special, but decent (if a bit overpriced). Beds were good, bathrooms clean and so forth. Our only issue was with the restaurant. We gathered for a groom's breakfast in the main dining area with about 12 of us. The restaurant was not very busy at all ( a Monday morning). My table ordered eggs benedict. We soon regretted it, as the whites were not fully cooked, the muffins were overcooked, and the hollandaise sauce was lumpy and disgusting. Rather than make a stink, we dealt with it and had a Blood Mary. Our last day we decided to have breakfast in, and tried the buffett. We arrived at 10:30 to find virtually everything gone - no bread or pastries, no fruit, no bacon, etc. There was an omelette station, so we decided to do that, only to have scorched omelettes. Service was very slow, waitresses ignored us after bringing the first coffee. At $14 plus a person, it was easily the worst buffet I've had. The wedding featured filet mignon, which arrived overcooked and cold. It's a shame the food service wasn't a match for the hotel and the bar. For over $200 a night I could have done MUCH better elsewhere.

We were here on a nice Fall Sunday afternoon for two days. We were able to check In early and parked near the door for $30 a night. The hotel is newly renovated with a beautiful lobby and bar area. Our room was a very nice king size room with a very nice, new shower. My issues are that the place was empty and they didn’t upgrade us to a river view even though we have Marriott membership. The new bathrooms have only one towel hook, no venting or fan. The a/c went off an on all night and sounded like a train going through the room. The front staff was apathetic and couldn’t be engaged in conversation. No brochures available on the city or any information on the hotel. There is a small coffee shop but no restaurant. We found the only breakfast in the area in a bar across the street. There is no security for doors or elevators. The immediate area was dead with a few restaurants. None of the boats were running even on the weekend. An outdoor fireplace would be nice as well as a sandwich shop or something similar to the Sheraton Wharf in San Francisco.

This is the place to stay where you're not in the heart of the city and can take a breather from the rat race. The Sheraton is next to the soccer stadium as you drive into Station Square. The hotel is along the water with private & safe outside parking directly next to Gateway Clipper Fleet which can shuttle you across the water, directly downtown along the water. There are multiple restaurants within a couple blocks (Hard Rock Cafe, Buca di Beppo, buffets, fast food, Gandy Dancer or, The Concourse) plus many more. There's a lot to see and do around the hotel. It also has a large swimming pool next to the fitness center, a Starbucks and very friendly and helpful hotel smployees (thanks Lauren!). Unfortunately, they should refrain from allowing dogs. On our last day, the dogs did their business all over the side exit to the parking lot. Needless to say this put a damper on the experience but, overall, I'd stay here again.

We travelled to Pittsburgh for a wedding last weekend (Sept 24th 2022) and were pleasantly surprised by a few things that even the profile of this hotel on the Bonvoy website fails to mention or display: (1) The lobby has been completely renovated and made more stylish and up-to-date than ALL the photos; (2) Our rooms (family members' as well as our own) were also upgraded and far more modern and comfy than the photos; (3) It really is the only hotel in Pittsburgh offering this gorgeous view of Pittsburgh's skyline as well as where the three rivers meet; (4) It sits in a neighborhood that's more pedestrian friendly than downtown because of a huge new apartment complex next door that's brought RESIDENTS into the immediate vicinity, and you can walk to a number of great eating spots without having to take your car or worry about parking, and (5) Our interactions with the hotel staff were nothing but friendly, professional and accommodating, even for a marathon Greek post pandemic revenge wedding that went on and on. So thankful that our bride and groom chose this location for its convenience; we enjoyed plenty of what Pittsburgh has to offer (incl a view of sporting arenas or walking distance to another) and got to enjoy many spots within and outside the hotel where we could catch up with family, again without jumping into a car each time. Hate spilling the beans on places I've enjoyed because it tends to rack up the pricing for my next visit, but thought I'd tell it like it is, and we did have a wonderful weekend at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Station Square. Thank you!

I recently stayed a few nights, while it’s an older property it’s well maintained and looks to be beginning a refresh. I felt the covid protocols were well followed and I felt safe staying with this property. My room was clean and tidy with a great view. Which really set this property apart was the staff every interaction made me feel right at home. Especially Kevin who went above and beyond to ensure we were all well taken care of. It was a great way to start the New Year, and I can’t thank the staff enough for there hospitality. The location is near restaurants, take out, and a short walk across the bridge to the heart of downtown.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Station Square for a friend's wedding. The room was very nice, modern, and clean. The staff was very friendly, especially Lauren at the front desk who was extremely accommodating. The food at the wedding and brunch was very good. And the venue with the views of the city was fantastic! Even the nearby passing trains could not interrupt the reception as the sound reducing windows were very high quality. I'd highly recommend staying and/or having a wedding here!

The Sheraton Station Square was not my first choice for our weekend in Pittsburgh. I was visiting primarily to take photographs; the hotel I originally wanted to stay at was booked. The Sheraton turned out to be the perfect choice: on the Monongahela, steps away from Station Square, the Gateway Clipper, Riverhounds and Incline. A busy weekend in the city - an Arts Festival, Gay Pride Parade, the Pirates at home; the hotel hosting two weddings, yet we were made to feel as if we were the most important guests. A minor problem with our assigned room quickly taken care of by moving us to another at a discount. The room clean, the beds with their pillowtop mattresses comfortable, tastefully decorated with a modern Warhol vibe, nice amenities including a room safe, refrigerator, coffee maker, bottled water. We ate dinner two nights at the hotel. The first we ordered the Berkshire Pork Chop, perfectly cooked; we came back the next for the salmon and a burger, again delighted with the quality. The breakfast, buffet style, a varied selection thoughtfully prepared. The key ingredient to our stay was the staff; I'm sorry I didn't write down everyone's name but all were equally accommodating. The front desk welcoming. Our first night waitress Cyndi bubbling with energy and friendliness as was our second night server. We were fortunate both mornings of our stay to have Betina wait on us; she was that cliched ray of sunshine that brightened the start of day, keeping us supplied with coffee, juice, water, milk and cheerfulness. The hostesses, morning and evening, received us like old friends. It has been a long time since I have wanted to review the hotel where I was staying; when hospitality is done this well how could I not. Looking forward to my next visit.

As background, I am an Elite Bonvoy member thar spends 100+ nights a year as a business and leisure traveler.
The property (while under renovation, so cut them a little slack during this time) and staff were all top notch. 5/5 recommend. The staff really sets this properly a notch above!
I specifically want to mention Director of Front Office LeAnn Dinger, who was exceptionally accommodating and responsive in resolving a couple things during our stay. Thank you!
We visited during a busy weekend in April. Checkin was a breeze, and staff happily brought us more toiletries , extra towels, etc. Clean, spacious suite. There was a little noise and commotion from renovation, but that is just temporary. A lovely property with great views of the river and city.
We will see you again!

Great check in experience. Marriott Titanium. Got upgraded to a suite which was a fantastic room. The room was the best hotel room I have been in for working including an adjustable work table for both sit down and stand up work. I had a fantastic view of downtown Pittsburgh. The room had all expected Marriott amenities and the bathroom was nice. The wifi in the room did not work. I asked the front desk and they initially told me it was being "worked on". Upon further investigation, the wifi had not been working in the rooms for "about a month" according to another person at the desk, with no ETA on resolution. They suggested working in the lobby where there are 4 private spaces including 2 mini "phone booths" all four spaces were often occupied. I had planned to work out of this hotel for 2 business days so I checked out one day early due to the lack of internet and was able to get a room at a nearby Marriott with a good in room work area and good internet. The Front Office Manager helped me get my "suite night" awards returned to my Marriott account (this took a few emails) after the first person from the hotel FO told me they would be returned "automatically" which was not true. In general the team could use better training - especially on transparency. Honesty on the internet issue and the process for suite night returns would have been appreciated when asked. Fantastic room and property - would have been 5 star if the service failures had not happened.

Response from LeeAnn Dinger, Guest Services / Front Office at Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square
Responded Oct 12, 2022
Dear Guest, Thank you for your honest review of your recent stay with us. I also appreciate you emailing me a copy of this directly and asking me to respond on TripAdvisor. We value your loyalty to Marriott as a Titanium Elite member and recognize that you travel a great deal. Internet is truly essential for business travelers--which is why we had been pushing for results from our internet servicing company. The entire building is back up and running as it should be now. I am sorry about the misinformation you received about your Suite Night Award automatically being returned. I truly apologize--I did think that those acted like booking rooms with points and that it would be returned once you checked out early. I am happy that you pushed back and had me look into that further for you, for I did learn something new from our exchange. I am glad that I was able to return both SNAs to you. Training is essential for our new team. In fact, I am holding a team meeting today (which I do quarterly) and will continue teaching more Marriott standards and best practices. We truly look forward to welcoming you back on your next trip to Pittsburgh. Feel free to contact me directly as you have been with any needs you have. Thank you, LeeAnn Dinger

We were **very** disappointed that the pool was closed due to renovations. At NO TIME were we informed of the pool's closure - it is not posted on the Sheraton's website, we were not told by the receptionist when we booked our reservation, and it was not in any email confirmation or communication we received from the Sheraton. We intentionally selected this hotel because of the pool (we have young children) and would have stayed elsewhere had we been informed of its closure.

Sorry for the delay and I am sure you have already stayed at the Drury. The pool is in-doors - and not on the rooftop. It's on the top floor of the hotel - but again - in-doors.... near the workout area and the doors to the outdoor terrace.
No, we do not have hot tubs or jacuzzi tubs in any of our guest rooms, nor in our pool area. Our pool is open 6am - 10pm daily.
Yes it does. It is located in the pool area
