We have stayed at this bed and breakfast last week and it definitely has exceeded our expectations! Brenda and Mark are wonderful, very nice folks and Brenda's cooking was exceptional! Thank you for your very kind review of the Brownstone Colonial Inn! Indeed I like to cook, and especially when my guests recognize the time, energy and personal touches behind every dish created! We have a barter arrangement with the farmer across the road, so he provides us with our very local bacon, sausage, ham and scrapple for guest breakfasts!... More

This is our fifth year, It's like coming home each year. Our friends Brenda and Mark own and operate the Inn. They do a wonderful job of welcoming each guest, showing them their room and sharing information about the area. The building is beautifully restored and has been updated for your comfort and convenience. Brenda's breakfast dishes are very tasty... More

This was the first time we ever stayed at a B&B. Built in 1760, this B&B farm house was quaint and friendly. We absolutely loved it! The owners made our stay welcoming and helped us with directions to different sightseeing places. They also told us about restaurants in the area. Our room was comfortable with a private bath, which is... More

Thank you for your gracious, thorough review! Since I was born and raised in Lancaster County, I am familiar with many of the tourist attractions, and because I grew up in a Mennonite home, I have first-hand experience and information about the Mennonites and Amish, their history, culture and beliefs. We are honored that you chose us for your first... More

This is our second trip to this wonderful B&B and the experience was as good this time as it was before. A pleasant, peaceful country setting with many activities within a short driving distance. The innkeepers made our stay a memorable one! Brenda was so accommodating with our special needs regarding schedule and nearby events. The breakfasts were over-the-top good and it was great fun to interact with other guests and our hosts. Having our own bath in Grandma's room was great and the cleanliness of the inn was outstanding! I would unhesitatingly recommend... More

Thank you for your very kind words! We're glad you enjoyed the accommodations, the breakfasts, the cleanliness, and the interaction with everyone! This inn is quite charming in a colonial country type of way and has an overwhelming sense of peace and calm about it. We loved our stay tremendously and found our room (Shaker Suite) to be quite accommodating and provided privacy when needed. The innkeepers are really the nicest and friendliest folks around and provide a real "family table" experience... More

Refreshing. That's the first word that comes to mind when I think about the Brownstone Colonial Inn. What a wonderful stay at Brownstone Colonial Inn! Brenda and Mark were absolutely darling. We could not have asked for better hosts. And oh my, can Brenda cook a delicious breakfast! I have never had such marvelous meals for breakfast before. The other guests were very pleasant as well. All will be missed, but we will definitely visit again.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review of our inn! And I especially appreciated your compliments on the breakfasts, which I love preparing! I often will try new recipes on my family before introducing them to our guests - and try to do so often, especially with the many repeat guests we continue to have! More
