Spent a wonderful, cozy night in this immaculate home during my Thanksgiving trip, which included a stop at the 911 memorial in Shanksville, PA. The Christmas decorations were lovely and the home even lovelier. It was like staying with a beloved family member. Such a welcome alternative to a stark, industrial hotel chain. Heated mattress pads, wine, cookies, coffee, fluffy robes, great WiFi, and a fabulous, homecooked breakfast. The innkeeper is the perfect combination of welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. Loved this experience. This place is a gem!
Shared our visit with great friends, that had visited once before. We were in Somerset for the Flight 93 Memorial. They were so please with their stay that we decided to give it a try. I have stayed in many B&Bs and found this to in the top 10. We had the "honeymoon suite" which was really spacious. Our breakfasts were remarkable and different each day.. Could hardly wait for the next day meal. The 93 Memorial is something everyone needs to do and see. Take the time and drive around and see the area and check out the covered bridges, mine museum, Somerset Historical park, Seven Springs Ski Resort. We would definitely come back and spend more time. This B&B is great!!!!
We stayed at this quaint B&B during our 50th Anniversary Fall Foliage Trip. Katie & Craig were delightful hosts. The house was tastefully decorated; every detail carefully arranged. We stayed in the newly decorated Bridal Suite. Everything in the suite was absolutely stunning. Lovely bedroom with shuttered bay window with window seat, queen sized comfy bed, writing desk, flat screen tv in the bedroom. Large soaker tub, shower, double sink vanity on the huge bath. Breakfast was delicious. Katie prepared and egg & cheese casserole, seasoned hash browns, fresh fruit, sausage, homemade apple muffins with apple butter made from their apple tree, juice, coffee & tea.. There were two breakfast seating options. 8:00 and 9:30. We highly recommend this sweet get away and hope to visit again in the future. The Inn is close to covered bridges and the Flight 93 Memorial.…
We stayed in the "bridal suite," though there was no bride-we're husbands of 11 years and we were warmly greeted on arrival by innkeeper Katie Mathis who couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We chose this room because it has both a bath and a shower in a delightful, roomy bathroom. The room is a corner room, bright and airy and wonderful. We highly recommend this immaculate home with its exquisite charm and delightful owners. A delicious freshly-made hot breakfast was provided by Katie the following morning. We've stayed at many B&B's and this was one of the best, if not the best, we've ever stayed at. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional experience with wonderful people! This is an absolutely beautiful and charming inn. The owners couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. The rooms were beautifully done and extremely comfortable. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be and they certainly succeeded. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. You can stroll around the beautiful grounds. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who would be travelling in the area. I can't think of one thing they could have done to make our stay any better. Bud and Mimi Carr
