We came in late in a rain storm. They came out to meet us even though it was after hours. We awoke to a traditional amish breakfast and a great tour of the place. Later we found lots of other things to see in the immediately vicinity. Well worth the detour from Philly to CT!

Excellent visit to Verdant View Farms in Amish country this weekend. Square dancing in the barn was a treat for kids and adults alike, then S'mores by the bonfire. The interactive tour was informative and entertaining, a huge hit with the kids. Nice accommodations in the white house plus tasty local food. Woke up to the distant sounds of Amish...

We live in Lancaster County and decided to take the tour on a particularly beautiful day. This is an up-close tour provided by knowledgeable people. We had a great time feeding the calves, watching how cows are milked and trying our hand at milking also. All the animals we met, chickens, pigs, goats, cats & kittens, gladly accept attention, Scooby...

This is an amazing place in the heart of Amish country. We stayed in the little White House near the road. Great little house. We stayed in room 7. King bed, your own bathroom. This is also a great place to bring kids. They will love the animals. They have cows you get to milk, calves you bottle feed, goats...

We were hesitant to spend the money on this tour because it didn't seem worth it but boy was I surprised!! We had to come back because we didn't realize the tours only started at certain times. Our tour ride was so knowledgeable and friendly. She was a high school senior who works at the farm. She truly showed a...

My husband, 8 year old daughter and I toured the farm the end of August. It was fabulous! My daughter and I are big animal lovers. We were in heaven. We held chickens, fed calves and goats and milked a cow. Our guide Catherine was great. My daughter played with the barn kittens and the farm collie. We were lucky...

We visited with our 2 grandchildren, ages 7 and 9. We took the Apprentice Farm Tour. The children loved it and we adults enjoyed it also. Included was a crawl through hay tunnels, feeding baby calves, milking a cow, finding eggs in a chicken coop, seeing where calves are born, petting pigs and goats, and a wagon ride through corn...

My wife and myself took our two grandchildren ages 7 & 9 to the Verdant View Farm for the apprentice Farm experience. The farm is a family farm being operated by the fourth generation of the owners. The farm is celebrating 100 years of continuous operation this year. When I booked the tour I was a little concerned that the...

Took two grandchildren (8 & 11) to visit this working farm. We toured the big barn, milked a cow, visited and bottle fed new calves, saw where the calves are born, plus pigs and goats and chicken coop. Had a wagon ride through the fields with lots of time for questions. We also learned and participated in making ice cream...

This was our second time visiting with our children. The first visit they were 18 months and 4.5 and now they are 3.5 and 6.5. Both visits were amazing for all family members. The family that runs the farm is super nice and we felt so at home. Both times we met very kind and friendly guests and had a...
