I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. We stayed one night in the whirlpool room. I don't think this is on their website, I had to call to make sure I got this room after booking online. I believe they only have the one. Spacious, and for some reason this was also a handicap accessible room so the roll-in shower was very large. They moved some tables outside, I guess to avoid people sitting inside the hotel/social distance reasons. Unfortunately, there were people sitting and smoking right in front of the building, which made the place look and feel trashy. But the room was nice and mostly clean. They could have done a better job with the vacuum, as there were little pieces of plastic on the floor. The hotel itself is situated right off a busy road so plenty of places to shop and eat nearby. I'd stay here again.…
We were here for three nights and enjoyed our stay after initial not so good first impressions. We did notice when we arrived that the garbage cans were overflowing and someone left their garbage in a parking stall near us. That was not a good impression but the clerk who checked us in was friendly and told us because of Covid, only muffins, juice and coffee would be available in the area that operates as the hotel's convenience store, starting at 6 a.m. (Too bad because the breakfast area looked inviting.) The clerk was not wearing a mask but was behind a plastic wall. We headed up to our room and noticed the person next to us had a pile of towels outside the door. That also made us wonder, but this turned out to be a daily ritual for this person. Towels piled up and on another day, the sheets were outside the door. Someone picked them up during the day so it wasn't like housekeeping wasn't responding, but we have no idea when these items were dropped. It was just unsightly. In the morning near 8 a.m., no muffins or beverages were to be seen. The man working the desk apologized and quickly located the muffins. I asked about juice as we were told juice was available. He invited me to take a juice from the refrigerator, which I did. When we left for the day, we asked about housekeeping coming, and the man at the desk said we should have been told no housekeeping was offered because of Covid, which we were fine with. He said if we needed anything, we should ask the front desk. When we returned at night, we asked the front desk for coffee packets, and she said she didn't know where they were but would look. We said we were off to dinner soon and we would stop on our return to see if she had found them. When we returned, she had the coffee packets. The next day, we noticed the garbage bag was still in the parking space near us and the garbage cans were still overflowing. On our second morning, everything was cleaned up. Despite the misfirings here, our room was clean and comfortable. We had some noise issues with guests who didn't understand how to open and close doors without banging and that shouting isn't a good idea when it's past 10 p.m. That was one night. Even though masks were required, guests didn't seem to bother. There isn't much hotel staff can do about that as the guests are ambling about the hallways and in elevators without anyone watching them. This would have been a five-star rating but for the first impressions and the disorganization of the staff. Also, some employees were out front smoking on their break, using quite colorful (aka foul) language that really shouldn't be said anywhere near guests. The hotel is near several restaurants you can walk to (Chili's, Bob Evans, and two Mexican restaurants), a Sheetz gas station and convenience store is across the street, and it has easy access to highways. We would select this hotel again if we were in the area because the room was so nice and our nights were extremely comfortable.…
Hotel was surprisingly clean and front desk staff were nice. Breakfast was also decent. However Security was an issue. Several people ran down the floor and down the emergency stairwell for hours on end during the night. We also woke up to a flat tire on a new car, which were certain someone intentionally did.
I stopped here at the last minute because I was too tired to keep traveling to my original destination. I made my chose based on TripAdvisor reviews and they were not wrong. The staff was helpful and booked my room quickly and without a problem. My room was a double queen suite which was clean, large and the beds were very comfortable. My room even though it was close to the elevator proved to be quiet. Internet was slow however and I thought the breakfast was just adequate. I got there a little before it was about to close and so food was low and coffee was not very hot. I chalk it up to being there late. Everything else was great.
Came out with a friend for the weekend. Hotel was still like new. Very clean updated room. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast the next morning was great. Will definitely come back during my next trip to Uniontown.
