Stayed here for a wedding during the last week of July 2021. Bride & groom got a group rate for their guests; they picked this hotel based on all the positive reviews online. I don't know where all those positive reviews came from! Every person who came for the wedding had their own unique problem (mold on the dresser, dirty rooms, rooms that hadn't been cleaned between guests, cigarette smell, old and noisy toilets). Here were our specific problems: 1. Our room REEKED of cigarette smoke, despite the no-smoking signs platstered on every surface of the hotel. 2. The sink and shower water smelled like burned rubber when we used them. Ended up buying a case of bottled water because we were a little wary about drinking the room's water. 3. When we checked in, we were asked if we would need housekeeping during our visit. I said no, but I mentioned that we would probably need fresh towels. Front desk worker said no problem, just bring used towels to an area behind front desk to swap them out for fresh towels ourselves. This isn't the policy in most hotels, but whatever. When I went to do that the next day, I had to go to the staff-only laundry room down the hall from the front desk, where everyone was confused as to why I was there. They let me take what I needed, but a different front desk worker stopped me on the way back to my room to ask me if I was a guest and why I had gone to the laundry room. When I explained the above to her, she seemed baffled about why someone would ask me to do that and said I could just ask the front desk the next time, which is usually standard procedure at most hotels. 4. Check in and check out times were written in stone. Not the biggest deal in the world, but it was weird to have housekeeping trying to enter our room at 9 am on checkout day, when we didn't have to check out until 12 pm. Just seemed like a miscommunication between whoever manages booking and the housekeeping staff. Other than the problems specific to us, the hotel was just really old and not clean. Found hairs in the sink, chipped paint on the floor, and food from previous guest in the closet.…
We were surprised to find a hotel this nice that wasn't near any attractions or resorts. It was well maintained and clean with nice furniture and fixtures. The staff was friendly and explained where the pool and breakfast and the ice were located as we checked in.
We stayed one night on a road trip. We had our dog with us and the hotel was very dog friendly. We saw lots of pups of all sizes. Room was quiet and rooms for dogs were not all in one spot (I think this is a plus as when dog rooms are grouped together I think its nosier). Room was clean and sheets were extremely soft. Large parking lot and spots to walk the pup. We had an accessible room that I booked accidently. There was a dennys and perkins within walking distance of the hotel.
I spent my birthday/ vacation at this Comfort INN, nowhere on the website did I see or is noted that pets were allowed. If this information was disclosed, I would have not have made any reservations. I called the front desk twice, the representative stated that they could pinpoint the room with the barking dog! I ask the front desk for a manager; I was told that there was no manager on site. I asked to be comp for a one-night stay and I would leave. Pets should be located away from guests without pets. Room 214!!!!! 5-23-29-21.
We were SO pleased to stay here. All staff we saw wore masks (covering their noses too) at all times when dealing with the public or just in public areas! They seemed to bend over backwards to accommodate, but safely. Hot or cold breakfast grab bags were free and pretty darn good. Staff all friendly AND the heat/AC unit in our room was silent!!!! Clean room. Our dog loved it too!
